Summary: March 8, 2011 is when i 1st bought this. I never had to look for new ones at all. I miss HDMI option but its easy to just buy a cheap convertor. I say for this size u wont notice any HD difference for HDMI to DVI. I will recommend this product.
Summary: I got my monitor and fell in love immediately. People were making fun of me - getting a 27" monitor - but since then several of them have followed suit and bought one. This is a great size and the view is perfect. Highly recommend this Amazon Seller.
Summary: I finally managed to convince my better half that I needed to upgrade my dual 20" monitor setup! This monitor was available at a great price with good reviews so I went for it. I use it for general computer stuff, watching occasional movies and some 1st person gaming; there is little or no ghosting, the black levels are very consistent ( no backlight bleed at the edges, which I've seen too often with lower quality monitors ); it has no extras like usb hubs or speakers (...
Summary: Pros: Good price, no stuck pixels, VESA mount compliant. Cons: The 2 stars that I took off are for the HORRIBLE light bleed. It's not too noticeable during basic computer use, but if you plan on using this monitor to watch movies or play any games with consistently dark screens, you will not be able to help but notice the light bleeding on all four sides of the screen. It can be very distracting.
Summary: I've been selling, installing and supporting ViewSonic video displays for over 15 years now and they have always seemed to make a high quality product. I am now in a position to comment as a consumer. I already own a 24" version of this great display (slightly different model but very close to the same features and specs) and have been very pleased with it for the last 2+ years.
Summary: I was a bit iffy about the brand View Sonic, I wanted a good 27 inch monitor with HD and i said lets give this one a try. The price was amazing i couldn't left it here at all. This product was in my shopping cart for a while wanted to see if i would get a Black Friday deal, but i guess there isn't any for this Monitor at all; but i'm good anyway, all my friends love it, wish it carried a DVI port, but i bought a HDMI adopter for it anyway so i will get the full 1080p.
Summary: Exactly the kind of monitor I need to see better and do my work all on one single screen. However it's a little bit too bright but I find that tuning all the way down the contrast and brightness does not mess with the picture at all plus it'll save your eye sight. Get this monitor if you can afford it. I bought this on December 18, 2011 for the amount of $259.00. It should go down some in 2012.
Summary: The ViewSonic 27-inch monitor is a great value. Superb video quality. I connected it to a new Dell 8300 and it worked right out of the box (without having to use the included setup disk). I paid less for this 27-inch monitor than the price of the "Dell Recommended" 24-inch monitor that I could have ordered from Dell along with the PC I purchased. Connected it the pc using the included DVI cable (nothing else needed to purchase) and it worked great. Very satisfied.
Summary: After a lot of research I ordered this product and now have about 10 days of use with it. Contrary to other reviews the screen brightness is just a matter of adjustment and after setup produces a very good picture. I'm very happy with it and would have given it 5 stars except it did not auto load it's required files from disc. I had to do a manual setup which was not really a problem. No dead pixels and a very sharp picture.
Summary: A COMPARRISON I am comparing this 27 inch LCD side-by-side to a Viewsonic 24 inch VA2448M LED, and the 24 inch LED is the better buy. SIZE In bumping up to a 27 inch, I hoped to have added real estate, no, the same resolution means the same real estate, just bigger. Bigger is good if you are further away from the screen. You can recover some real estate by showing a smaller percentage size of your document.
