Greg Lowder, Amazon
17 April 2013
  • Summary: I've only had it for a month, but so far so good. My sound is hooked to speakers, so no review on that.

Amazing Quality, at a great price

Amazon Customer "jeremyhewit", Amazon
8 April 2013
  • Summary: The quality of this monitor is well above those of many of it's competitors in this price range. The only negative thing I can say about it is the stand for the monitor is very cheaply made. This is a great quality monitor if you plan to put it on a desk set it up, and not readjust it constantly.

Great Monitors!

Chris, Amazon
21 February 2013
  • Summary: These are great monitors for the price. They look great and work really well. Only con is that the base is a bit wonky and moves when you type. Doesn't bother me, but could be a problem for some. Overall: Great product!

A Fine Monitor

Bob 443, Amazon
20 February 2013
  • Summary: Sharp, bright, and reliable. This is one of two very similar monitors on my setup, with which I am very satisfied. My next monitor will very likely be a Viewsonic, too.

Works good

Brian, Amazon
13 January 2013
  • Summary: No HDMI. The cord they sent with it didn't work, but it doesn't matter since I had a spare cord.

Good monitor, but...

Joseph M., Newegg
29 December 2012
  • Pros: Great display! Thin and light! Has both VGA and DVI plugs. Price is excellent value.
  • Cons: It should come with a DVI cable! If you are expecting that to be included, you will be disappointed that it only comes with a VGA.

Nice picture, bad sound

Vanessa J., Newegg
9 July 2012
  • Summary: The monitor does what a monitor is supposed to do, and that very well. Building quality speakers into a flat screen television is a challenge, and clearly not one easily solved at the sub-$200 price point.
  • Pros: They picture quality is excellent. 1080p, good contrast, nice colour and white balance. All what you'd expect from a company like Viewsonic.
  • Cons: The sound. Dear lord, the sound. I purchased this monitor to pair with the gaming PC in my living room. I had thought I would just use the built-in speakers, since most of the time other family members are watching TV or otherwise occupying the room and I'll be using headphones anyway. Within a d...

Good cheap monitor

Vanessa J., Newegg
6 July 2012
  • Summary: Well worth the price, but don't use the speakers unless you truly don't care about sound quality.
  • Pros: The price is good, and the picture quality is excellent. Being an LED screen means slightly less power consumption as well.
  • Cons: The built-in speakers are awful, so I took an egg off for that. On the other hand, if you expect speakers built into a sub-$200 monitor to be high quality you're probably setting the bar a bit too high.

Always did love the company's ironic name.

Yui D., Newegg
2 April 2012
  • Summary: It's nice to finally have 1080p monitors. No more squished videos.
  • Pros: Sharp. Bright. No dead pixels on either of the pair I bought.
  • Cons: Really a 21.5" Monitor stand is not adjustable. (Not an issue for me, I'm using the VESA mounts) VGA cable? Seriously? Ick. Speakers? Why? Does anyone really use the tinny little things on the flat panels? Dump the speakers and ship a DVI cable, I say.
