Summary: This screen has served me well, it's been over a year now and I still use it. The colors are good and the fact that it has speakers are awesome. But the speakers aren't that good, that's the only thing about this product that was a let down, else it's awesome!
Summary: I bought 2 to have a dual-monitor setup. The display is clear, crisp, and bright... even with an open window on a sunny day. Speakers are not very good, so don't bother if you are looking to use them for anything more than basic sound.
Summary: I bought two of these monitors to give me a ton of desktop space for developing. While the picture is stunning, I found a slight disappointment... dead pixels! Both monitors have between 3 to 6 dead pixels, so not enough to really bother me, but I notice them when certain backgrounds are used, or while moving windows around. I've had them now for almost a month, and overall I am pretty satisfied. For the price, they're certainly great.
Summary: Title kind of says it. Have always liked Viewsonic monitors, so got this one at a nice price. No complaints there-- picture is beautiful. And built-in speakers are a nice convenience. (Not for music, though.) However, as others have noted, the base is very cheaply made-- hollow plastic, wouldn't quite lie flat on table, and monitor wobbled noticeably when typing at first. OK now after some shimming up, but would still probably wobble on a lighter table.
Summary: I was expecting to be impressed. I'm not. The monitor has nice style and is easy to setup. However the text displayed at optimum resolution is a little hard for me to read. If I lower the resolution to get larger text then the text is larger but fuzzy. Since I spend a lot of time at my monitor and deal with mostly text I think I'll have to send it back. Update: I really did not want to return this monitor but the text size was bothering me.
Summary: I purchased this monitor to go along with a Mac Mini (mid-2011 model) and I am overall pleased with it. Here's the 411: Pros: - Excellent picture (needed no tweaking out of the box). - 1080p looks spectacular! - Integrated speakers (yes they sound tinny, but I didn't want external speakers taking up space on my desk). - Matte screen (no glare or reflections in a room with lots of windows/daylight). - Works with a Mac Mini without hassle... truly plug-n-play.
Summary: Received in good condition to replace a VP181 that I purchased 20 years ago. I hope that this monitor lives up to the reputation of its predecessor (which cost 10x as much as this did with money worth 2x what today's is). Picture quality is excellent, tho' I'm not thrilled with wide screen being the only purchase option. Speakers don't appear to be of same quality of predecessor --- maybe because present ones are in back of unit vs predecessors location in the base.
