Summary: upon setting up my NEW monitor, i noticed a dead pixel right away.my video card wasn't compatible with the monitor, so i was never able to really experience what it was capable of. returned the monitor.
Summary: While the price was acceptable, so far I've been underwhelmed by this monitor; the screen quality is sub-par and there is a single-pixel vertical line defect (green bar) right in the center of the screen. Fortunately, the monitor was for my mother and she doesn't seem to notice the aforementioned defects. The monitor's furniture is nice enough, and it came with a DVI cord which was a nice change of pace.
Summary: Although the description of the item did not specifically say so, I assumed that a monitor being sold in 2012 with a DVI connection would have support for HDCP (High Definition Content Protection, required for certain protected content, such as TV streaming). After trying for weeks to troubleshoot issues with various programs, ultimately determined through a capabilities test that this monitor does not have support for HDCP.
Summary: So, I love the monitors features and it's display capabilities, that being said, however, I have a major issue with this monitor and will never buy another, even if it were only $100 and not $139. I ordered this May 1st, with overnight shipping, received it May 2nd, opened the box, plugged it in... no power light.
Summary: I got it today and out of the box it has a loud electrical buzzing sound that gets louder when I'm surfing a web page with a grey background for some reason. The pitch and loudness change according to what's being displayed on the screen. It's like water torture... it's driving me nuts. The screen itself is very nice, although the viewing angle isn't so great if it's used vertically, which I've seen some folks do. Amazon shipping was excellent as usual.
Summary: I already have a dead pixel near the middle of the screen and I received monitor yesterday. Setup is annoyingly difficult as the enclosed disc is useless. Also, if you have a problem with monitors that display below 70mhz avoid this one. It will be a make-do monitor until I can get a better one or if more dead pixels appear, a return.
