Summary: I bought this a few years ago now as a replacement for my aging and huge 22" CRT monitor. Firstly its a great size screen, especially for day to day use. Being the widescreen version its also great for watching movies and gaming, with a decent response time of 5ms. Despite its age now, its still a very good screen, crisp and clean and performs well when displaying media or images.
Summary: I bought this monitor (second hand) and I am very happy with it. It replaces a 17" 1280×1024 monitor, but which was just too small. I am a software developer and part time lecturer and the large screen allows me to open pairs of documents & put them side by side at 100% and it also allows modern IDEs such as netbeans and VS10 to work better.
Excerpt: When my 19" widescreen Xerox PC monitor suddenly stopped working, I didn't hesitate to order a new and bigger screen to replace it. Before the Xerox LCD, I had owned a 17" Iiyama CRT and a 17" Neovo TFT LCD. I definitely prefer monitors that display rich colours, sharp images and have a large screen. I also think wide screens are a better design, in part due to my preference of stacking windows side to side and not on top of each other.
Excellent Montior and if you can get it for under £100 you have the best of everything.

Excerpt: For years I have wanted a nice big flat screen monitor for my pc, I work from home on the same pc so I wanted something big that would be easy on the eyes as I found normal CRT monitors very sore after a few hour work. I found the VA2216w from ViewSonic on offer in PC world for an appealing £99.00 so popped along to my local store and had a look.
Excerpt: **** Viewsonic VA2216w**** When i got my new computer it didn't come with a screen so instead of using the one that came with my old one (i say old but was about a year old)i decided to treat myself. The first place i looked was Tescos direct-as i figured with ecoupons ,staff discount and a few other offers being on that i would get a good deal and i think i did. This was very easy to set up ,just had to connect to the back of my computer and i was ready to go!!!
Summary: Brought this monitor at Staples in the UK for £129.99. Nice looking, no speakers built in which is a plus. Only supports VGA no DVI. Works great on all my games. Use either 1280x720 or 1680x1050 where possible. NO ghosting or blurring while playing unreal 3 or COD4. Recommended. Not got top marks due to no DVI - I was forced to by a DVI to VGA converter.
