Summary: My bad. I didn't realize the limited vertical visibility when viewing documents on this monitor. It is the equivalent of have a small standard monitor as measured on the diagonal, about 16". I would have preferred the other.
Summary: Recently I purchased two of these monitors to replace the two (very old) monitors I had been using for almost eight years. At this price point, how could I go wrong? And the reviews were nearly all positive, and I've historically had luck with ViewSonic (though admittedly it's been a while since I...
Summary: I cannot get this to display in widescreen when I hook it up to my iMac. When I looked online I found out that this model is not recognized by Mac computers. So do not purchase this if you have a Mac.
Summary: It's a nice clear monitor but it could be a little taller. The pictures and games can be a little distorted and sometimes you have to scroll to see the whole picture or game. You can't tilt the screen which can make uncomfortable on your neck after awhile.
Summary: May as well spend the $20-30 for something nicer.
Pros: It was cheap and generally performs it's intended function.
Cons: About 7-9 months in, it started a shadow-like blotch from the one corner. It spread up to the top covering a fair portion of the screen. That part of the monitor is still usable, but it looks stained/darker.
Summary: I'm a trader so I have two systems running 5 monitors, all Viewsonics. This was for my backup system and replaced a Viewsonic that finally had died. For my use (non-gamer) these low end monitors are all that I need to look at stock charts and run my trading platform.
