Summary: Of course I've seen better quality LED monitors, but this one is still great! For the price you pay you won't get a better choice on the market today. Nearest competitor (Samsung or LG) with similar or slightly better features would cost you about 50 dollars more. Great color range, sharp and crisp image, really nice viewing angle, low energy consumption. It looks good too on my desk. Overall very pleased with this monitor.
Summary: Pros: Great Image Cons: No HDMI Set up took longer than expected: Maybe it was my particular laptop (Toshiba) but initially I couldn't just go to my control panel and change the display properties. I had to install the CD first. I'm not a gamer so I can't tell you how well it performs when gaming. This monitor is used with my Toshiba 14" laptop in reduce eye strain when doing homework. For general use, this is a great product.
Summary: I bought this from Amazon's daily deal at $89.00! This is a steal at that or a similar price. The LED instead of the LCD is like a plasma TV compared to an LCD TV. It's very bright and exceptionally clear at the native reolution [1600X900]. Spreadsheets stretch WAY across this thing--it's ideal for Excel, etc. I turned the brightness down about 25%, along with the contrast, to get the best viewing experience. The gamma and color saturation were fine right out of the box.
Summary: Before buying, check the resolution on this monitor to be sure it's going to meet your needs. At 1600x900, it doesn't have a lot of vertical space, so if you're wanting something for gaming or Photoshop, you may want to pass on this. On the other hand, if you just want something for spreadsheet, word processing, or general internet use, this is not bad at all. Different copies of this monitor would seem to vary greatly in picture quality.
Summary: I bought this monitor to replace a 20 inch DCLCD LCD monitor that was just two years old (the power supply board burned up). The Viewsonic VA2033-LED is a great monitor. The lighting and color is much better than the LCD was. There's a default setting in the monitor where if a program changes the resolution (which is pretty common with many 3D games) a "resolution notice" will appear on the screen stating that you are not using the recommended resolution.
Summary: I bought this to replace an aging Samsung 19 inch LCD. It's a second monitor on a two monitor setup. The picture is bright and crisp, very useful for office programs, email etc. However, the image quality is very desaturated. I played with the monitor controls every which way to cure this, but there's no taming it. Images are washed out regardless of what they say about deep blacks etc. in their promo.
Summary: I bought this ON SALE for less than $90 shipped to my house for the price it is a great monitor and will work for many people for more detail read on. Pros: Size Price DVI and VGA input easy to use/see Buttons pretty solid construction and build quality Large enough stand with forward/backward tilt comes with vga cable Cons: Doesnt have an HDMI input(though you could us an adapter/cable if needed) wasnt free The majority of time I spent using it was hooked to my xbox 360...
