Summary: this is a big moniter 22" and you get it, Unlike a CRT! Much lighter then a CRT as well, Saves alot of room on my desktop! good price, Vary happy i got this over the Dell LCDs!
Pros: This is one sweet LCD! This LCD made my old 19" CRT look like grabage. When playing games it picks up all the little details with little or no ghosting, Sharp text good with movies!NO DEAD PIXLES =)
Cons: Ordered mon. 11-19-07 got to MN from TN on the 21st 10mil from my house deliverd 0n the 27th and they left it on my door step!?<-- Why i hate UPS!LCD with no DVI adaptor!? other then that nothing!
Summary: The 19" (VA902B) had no issues with Vista, yet this one can't even be recognized with signed OR unsigned drivers?? Give me a break Viewsonic!! Great widescreen monitor for the price....definitely a step up from the 19".
Pros: For supposedly only being 300cd/m2 this unit is BRIGHT. As soon as the monitor was configured, the sharp details that not even my 19" could bring out is brought out by this monitor. No dead pixels. Thanks Newegg!
Cons: The only thing I had wrong is that "plug and play" in Windows Vista is ***NOT*** there. Tried manual attempts and what not - nothing. So, this is currently being run using the "PnP display driver", but my vid card drivers are up to spec, so I'm not really complaining.
Summary: I'm a computer hardware/software specialist. I've been in the field a long time and I know about hardware. Do yourself a favor and read up and research what you buy. Don't always listen to what people post for reviews. Some folks just don't know.
Pros: For the price this is a great monitor. I'm not losing sleep over not having a dvi cable like some folk. I'm upgrading from a Viewsonic 19 inch lcd that was also very good. I don't feel like I've downgraded in sharpness, color, lighting. Some people didnt like the stand. Unless you live in califor...
Cons: The stand could be better and you do have to adjust brightness and contrast a little. All in all I'm very happy with this purchase. I wonderful product for the price tag. The consumer wins big time here. :)
Summary: The fact that it does not come with a DVI cable is bad, but marketing this LCD as a Viewsonic 'sub-brand' is downright misleading. This monitor is nowhere near the quality you would expect (With the 900:1 ratios and all). P4 3.2, 1GB Corsair XMS2, Abit AL8, Sapphire X850XT PE
Pros: Large Screen. No Dead Pixels. Connections for vga/dvi and power are spaced nicely on the bottom of the monitor.
Cons: This is not a real Viewsonic monitor. It has ALOT of dithering with black colors, and it is way way way too bright when you first turn it on. Getting it to acceptable levels is an annoying and ongoing task. The base is very flimsy and wobbles even for a slight bump on your desk. It does NOT come ...
