Summary: I've owned this monitor for 7 years since 2004 and it has always been flawless the last 7 years. I've used it as a second monitor to a Mac Laptop and as a TV Screen using a Viewsonic Nextvision N6 Video Processor. I purchased it as it was at least as highly rated as the Apple Cinema Display but was more versatile. I've never had regrets.
Summary: I've had this monitor for 4 months now and I'm very happy with it. The difference with space on my desk is huge, going from a 19' CRT. The stand is well made and looks good as does the overall product. The tilt feature works great too. I returned the 1st one to BestBuy after 3 weeks because I found it cheaper from newegg. Both monitors have had zero dead pixels. I haven't expereniced any pink problem, whatever that is.
Summary: This is probably the greatest gaming LCD Monitor that I've seen. I have not yet installed EQ2, but WoW runs great and smooth even at 1920x1200 with a 3.4Ghz processor... I would highly recommend this for the purpose of programming, development, business work, and games. The star trekish buttons in the front really adds a nice touch! Even though it took me a while to figure out how to turn it on, haha. No matter, great job Sony! It's to be loved!
Summary: I bought this because I tried another monitor, and it had an input lag issues that made it unusable to me (I'm sensitive to that sort of thing). I am a perfectionist, so I decided to pop some extra money for quality. Well, I have to say: I think Sony really does deliver outstanding quality with this product. Pros: - Great color reproduction. - Great panel uniformity. - 0 Input lag. - Light-up touch-sensitive panel controls are awesome. - Great for gaming!

Summary: [...] I'm visually impaired, so I need a large, crisp monitor that's flicker free. When I started looking, the choice was between the Sony and the Apple 23" monitor. While I thought the Apple's case, etc. was more durable, I chose the Sony because the contrast ratio was 500:1 as opposed to 400:1 for the Apple. Letters and graphics are crisp. I needed to find drivers to make the aspect ratio more correct on my screen.
Summary: I'm very glad that I waited for the right time to purchase this awesome monitor. I up-graded from a Sony 17" LCD, SDM-V72W. I found it on-line at B&H Photo for a mere $725.00, a significant discount from the original street price of $2,000. Excellent Pricing aside, the monitor performs as specified and exceeds all of my expectations. I understand it has been discountinued by Sony but If you can find this monitor, buy it!!
Summary: I bought this screen on August 24th. 2004. I has been working 24/7/365 since then. Not a single dead pixel, not a single problem. 1920 x 1400 pixels is awesome! I bought Dell U2711 one week ago. Best screen upgrade from the Sony. Dell has 2560 X 1440 pixels! You have to see it to believe it! Also, no dead pixels. Let's see how long Dell Monitor lasts. One key advise to all owners of heat making electronic equipment.
Summary: I've purchased this monitor in the beginning of 2005 and it is working great in 2009! (my usage since purchase: 5 days a week/from 09.30 to 18.00 non-stop and no defects what-so-ever) I have not seen any such quality product elsewhere. I was looking to buy an Apple screen but I've discovered that they are using lcds of Sony already.. decision was not difficult afterwards..
Summary: I have 2 of the Sony 23” monitors (model number SDM-P234/B and run them together with DVI connections. My eyes are sensitive to the nuances of color displays. Sure many LCDs offer shocking realism with bright and very sharp displays. But try using them for Internet or marketing communication type work where you stare at images and text for hours on end. I have a newer HP 24” monitor that is hard to watch as it is so bright.

Summary: Picture quality is wonderful, small footprint but big display with widescreen. I have trusted Sony quality for a long time. I have 98% of display products from Sony. I am not saying because of Sony, but the products are really high quality.
