Summary: Few available on used market, so value is inflated. True use value for undamaged and 100% functioning is $125-$150 in 2010. Biggest deficiency is this monitor's contrast rating, quite passe by now. Monitor lacks density. Blacks are not very. Pink fringing can be dealt with: careful color adjustment, and limit viewer's angled view. Good color in about 90 degrees only, not the wider angle advertised.
Summary: First monitor, it has 8 dead pixels on it. I called Sony, they ship me a replacement monitor after 1 month. First replacement monitor has 26+ dead pixels, so I called again... They sent another one, which has 1 dead pixel but pinkish color on 4 sides of the screen. Then... i call again.. they sent 3rd replacement monitor, no pinkish color but I still have 1 dead and 1 stuck pixel on the screen.
