Summary: I work in the professional audio/film industry, and have lived with this monitor for about a year now. I originally purchased it as a replacement for my office desktop system, where I previously had used an HP 19" CRT monitor which died suddenly, necessitating a fast trip to the local "big box"...
Summary: I've had this display for 9 months, and I am still very happy with the purchase. The constrast is fantastic, and the brightness is incredible. Screen can be seen from all angles. The unit is very sharp looking, and stands out on a desk. Why not 5 stars? Speakers are useless.
Summary: I looked at quite a bit of these monitors and bought this one because the text was sharp and the colors bright and vibrant. There is a trick, though. When I took it home and hooked up to my computer, it wasn't as sharp. My old 20" Sony CRT used the analog cable.
Summary: I've just received this SONY HX93 today. I've been looking at the models at local retailers but could not really see much difference between different LCDs, say, between this one and a lower priced samsung...Until I've seen it on my desk! pros: 1. nice panel.
Summary: I've been in the broadcast industry for 17 years and am accustomed to working with high quality CRT monitors, most of them Sony. When it came time for a new computer monitor, I decided to check out Sony's LCDs.
Summary: This monitor is by far one of the nicest and most crisp monitors I've seen. The display is very well illuminated, the text sharp and very readable at 1280x1024, and the colors are very, very vivid. Unfortunately, the monitor was not built for the First Person Shooter (FPS) in mind.
Summary: This is a beautiful high resolution monitor that not only has a great image, but also an elegant frame and good sound. It accepts up to three inputs (two analog and one digital), plus 3 sound inputs. I was going to get a lower priced competitor, until I saw the two side by side.
Summary: I have two of these now, plus one of the 23" Sony P232-W monitors. I've had the P232 for over a year, running at 1920x1200, with not a single bad pixel or any other problems. I picked up one of the 19" HX93 screens, plugged it in, and was so impressed that I went and bought another one for work.
Summary: Purchased this monitor only 2 days ago, however it's performance is simply stunning. With a contrast ratio of 800:1 (only on the 19"), dark areas are dark, while bright areas are bright. Color is excellent (using included DVI cable).
Summary: My Sony SDM-HX93 is the best monitor I've ever owned. This is the third flat screen monitor my family has (I have an HP and another 17" Sony) and this is by far the most wonderful device! The colors and brightness are incredible, very clean text and great performance.
