Summary: stunning - although perhaps aging now. I do freelance CAD design work - on a pair of these monitors side by side (purchased several years apart) and the quality is absolutely outstanding - I have only seen better on an apple (of course) at 10 times the price.
Summary: I bought this used from an Amazon reseller. I had seen the 17" model and was impressed but decided to go for the larger unit. It is absolutely first rate. I have another fine LCD monitor from a different major manufacturer, and love it, but this SONY unit is truly special. HDTV quality.
Summary: Hard to find Sony SDM-HS95P/S 19" inch LCD monitor. Great specs and in lightly used condition. Bought it as a back-up monitor for an older system and wound up using it as a primary monitor because of the quality of the graphics.
perfect display for gaming, movies or just internet browsing

Summary: this monitor is perfect as a normal computer monitor or as a gaming monitor. I have been using this unit to play games and watch movies just as much as I have been using it as a monitor for my computer.
Why arnt the new monitors even close to this quality ?

Summary: Ive had one of these in use for 6 years now, no problem no issue not even a dead pixel!!! And now that Id like to go wide and bigger, I cant find a monitor near as bright or sharp! Not even LED/LCD What's the deal here monitor makers? Even Sony's new ones lack!
Summary: I have owned this identical monitor for four years and live in fear of the day it expires. It is a discontinued Sony monitor and as far as I can tell, the best monitor money can buy. I cannot imagine being without it. It was for this reason I purchased another as a backup.
Summary: 5 years old and counting, still a great monitor. Haven't seen a need to replace it yet. Never had a single issue, this monitor was also made before companies started the 60hz - 120hz battle. That was really just lies to get you to buy a new tv.
