Summary: While shopping around for a monitor, I had a rather specific need: a monitor that would be able to support both 1600x1200 resolution (4:3) and typical wide-screen without scaling image distortion (in other words, true-scaling or 1:1 for both cases). My research took me to the Samsung T260HD. I've owned it for 7 months and I just love it.
Summary: When I first picked up the box containing my new T260HD, it was big and heavier than I expected. I hauled it into my room and started unpacking right away. The first thing I pulled out were the many accessories, including: D-sub/VGA, DVI and power cables, remote, cleaning cloth, and driver/manual CD. No HDMI cable, but it came with what I needed to connect it to my PC. Best part of unpacking was finally seeing the stunning beauty of my new monitor.
Summary: I bought this monitor a year ago to help with my research. As a grad student, at any one time I can have open a paper I'm writing, an important journal or article, maybe a program I've written and perhaps a web browser. With the size of this screen I can have almost everything up at once and not have to minimize anything! It works so well with the windows 7 snap feature.
Summary: My husband chose this TV for my office. I use it as a TV and as a computer monitor. The picture looks great (although I don't know much about TV quality and picture). We couldn't find a better price for the size we wanted. We've had no problems and feel confident buying refurbished products from overstock.
Summary: I ordered two of these monitors because the price was right. They arrived very promptly and are both superb in terms of clarity and color (WHAT COUNTS IN MY BOOK). Unfortunately, both monitors have multiple cracks in the transparent plastic that covers the bezel - that's a serious cosmetic issue but doesn't affect the monitors' quality so I am happy.
Summary: I bought this mainly for its 1200 vertical resolution, I just want to buy one before they were all replaced by the 1080 ones. I mainly use this for document viewing and programming purpose, with 1200 vertical resolution it's easier to view two pages of PDF documents at a time. Overall this is just as good as other Samsung monitors, I use it to watch TV when not connected to my laptop as external monitor.
Summary: Pros: Beautiful display. Great contrast ratio. Limitless options with ports and connectors. Very stylish design and bezel. easy to navigate menu. tuner. 1920x1200 16:10. great for playing games. along with my computer, i have my xbox hooked up and playing modern warfare is amazing. Cons: Takes a good 20 seconds to wake up from standby mode. one of the two HDMI ports is giving me problems with image position on my xbox.
Summary: There are plenty of reviews praising this monitor, so I will not take up more space by adding another. However, there are a number of reviewers that leave negative feedback for this item, and I believe that some of them are slightly mistaken. -Washed out color: There is a very limited viewing angle for this monitor, if you are not almost directly in front of the monitor the colors will appear washed out.
