The Samsung T260HD performs very well as both a monitor and as a television, which is not something many other combination monitors have been able to manage. There are a few drawbacks, such as not having the picture within a picture feature and the fact that you have to buy an extra kit to mount the monitor on the wall, but overall the monitor produces high quality images and offers you versatility that is almost unparalleled. One of the hallmarks of technological progression is consolidation. Given the similarity of many types of devices, it makes sense that as technology progresses features are combined. After all, having a phone with media playback capabilities makes more sense than carrying a phone and your portable media player. Read more

The monitor/TV quality is very good, and I have no problems with it apart from one major one. I have been waiting for Freeview in my area to start HD broadcasting. It is now available, but I haven't been able to tune in any HD broadcasts. I even inquired with Freeview, who gave me a procedure of manual tuning, but that didn't work. Read more

For the cheap price, you get a TV that has more features than similar TVs of the same size, most of which are only 720P and cost more. The picture quality is superb. The sound isnt the best because of the speaker being in the back. But other than that this is an AMAZING TV! Though the curved top is annoying to try and put the sensor bar for the Wii onto. For the price, it's a great buy for those who want to see what they are doing. It's not perfect, it could be a lot better hardware wise, but for the money, you'll not find better. Read more
My first Samsung LCD monitor, the 17" 170S is now in its 9th year and has only a couple of bad pixels. The three year warranty on the new HD260 and an 1080P tuner are just a bonus. A very good value for the money. I had the new HD260 since October of 2008 and it works great! Read more
As a Monitor: Display resolution fantastic - 10/10, HD movies look great, web & apps too! Speakers are a weak point - 6/10, use external with sub-woofer - 10/10. No going back to ordinary displays! As a TV: Normal cable broadcast picture fuzzy (Samsung warns you about this)- 7/10. Looking forward to getting an external antenna for HD stations. Again external speakers great improvement, as on most HD TV's being sold. Read more

My husband chose this TV for my office. I use it as a TV and as a computer monitor. The picture looks great (although I don't know much about TV quality and picture). We couldn't find a better price for the size we wanted. We've had no problems and feel confident buying refurbished products from overstock. Read more
An all round good performer. Acres of screen space especially for video editing or similar programs where a number of windows need to be opened at once. When matched to a video card with 1920 x 1200 output, the picture is pin sharp. The Freeview tuner supplies a good quality picture but needs a reasonably strong signal to work at it's best. Read more

The power indicator light on the lower right front of tv is quite large (approx. 1 1/2"), arched and bright red. It looks like a glowing ember. Is this normal or a defect?

I am considering getting the T260HD to use as primarily as a monitor. I bought an LG 32" 1080p TV and am not happy with it when I connect it to my laptop and try to look at fine print on spreadsheets. kinda blurry and shadows. Im not sure if that's because its larger (32") screen or is it my laptop? Will the T260HD's resolution (1900x1200) be much different than my LG's (1900x1080) when viewing fine print?
