Summary: It is a perfect size for a bedroom.very nice clear picture and the sound quality is good.would defintley recommened to anyone also you can use it as a computer monitor if you choose to do so.It also has not one but two hdmi ports so you can hook up your xbox 360 and a dvd player.
Summary: For what I paid, this is an excellent TV/PC monitor. I got this to be my gaming computer monitor and also a small HDTV for the office and so far it has not disappointed. I have played games such as Modern Warfare 2, Bioshock, Company of Heroes, Fallout 3, etc. There is almost no visible tearing. The picture for HD cable is very good. If I had to give a downside it would be that the monitor may be a little dark but I almost never think of this issue.
Summary: Using the T240HD as a computer monitor. Looks great. My only problem is that I have another Samsung TV in the room. Every time I use the other remote to turn of the TV the monitor turns off too. I cant find the remote sensor on the monitor to block it. Its like the whole monitor is a remote sensor. No matter wear I point the remote for the TV it also controls the T240HD.
Summary: I purchased a refurbished unit of the T240HD as part of a new computer Christmas present for my dad and he is very happy with the improvement from his six and a half year old 15" Dell Ultrasharp LCD. The quality of the screen is good but not enough to win any awards. I tried it out temporarily as a TV, connected via HDMI to a Dish HD DVR, and it worked very well but the viewing angles leave something to be desired.
Summary: This is my first HDTV and I must say I am impressed. Though the sound is tinny, as many have mentioned in other reviews, it's definately worth the low price. I do notice the lag when objects or people move quickly on screen; I guess that's the 60HZ refresh rate. I suppose most HDTVs will soon be 120HZ, 240HZ or even 480HZ very soon. Let's hope the prices will keep dropping!
Summary: Very nice TV. Clear, crisp color. Even my NON HD channels still look great. Menu / ease of setup is excellent. Came with HDMI / RGB / 1 other set of cables. Only thing I've noticed is the sound isn't very loud, an easy fix with external speakers.
Summary: I bought this Samsung 24" LCD HDTV 6 months ago to replace an old Magnavox 20" CRT in the bedroom that finally went out after 20yrs of usage. I intend to use this as a "tide-me-over" until I can afford a bigger/nicer LCD for the living room and can re-purpose this guy as a regular computer monitor. Is this Samsung perfect? No. Does it fill the void I needed it to? Absolutely. Would I buy it again? Definitely.
Summary: Outside of the three issues discussed below, this set (24") is fine for small viewing areas. Color and HD detail are both excellent. One issue is the viewing angle, which is very limited, both side-to-side and when the set is elevated, for example, on a wall mount. Another issue is dark and low-light scenes, such as night time. The Samsung picture becomes too dark making it hard to see what's going on.
Summary: great monitor. sweeter lcd hdtv. hands down best bang for the buck. cannot emphasize that enough. only complaint is the random flickering pixels. nussiance may be associated with the pc and not the monitor itself. switch between pc and tv with a hit of a button.
Summary: This is a pretty good TV/Monitor. It works well for the way we are using it, but it has some limitations. There is only one set of composite inputs, and no regular RCA. This makes it less useful to people who haven't upgraded more to HDMI. It only has two of those inputs, which is another limitation. The placement of the speakers is a little odd too. The sound seems to go straight down, not really giving a stereo feel.
