This model will not last longer than about one and a half years

Daniel Park, Amazon
14 December 2013
  • Summary: I've had this monitor replaced three times, and each time I get it replaced, it dies in about one to one and a half years. There's a reason Samsung doesn't officially sell this model anymore. Otherwise, a pretty good monitor, but you're gonna have to get a new one soon after you buy it.

EXCELLENT!!

U, Fox, Amazon
25 June 2013
  • Summary: I am not a kid. I do not play games so I have no idea how this monitor would work in a game situation. I bought it because it had a digital receiver built in and would double as a small televison with hi def. The receiver makes it possible to split the cable and receive local high definition stations without the additional expense of a high definition cable box rental. The picture is excellent and it is a very good monitor as well.

Excellent monitor

daedalus, Amazon
18 November 2012
  • Summary: I bought this monitor/tv to use in both applications - monitor and tv - in my home office. I've only set up the monitor so far, but it works great for that purpose. I connected a Lenovo T500 laptop via a passive displayport-to-hdmi cable to the monitor. Make sure to set the port name to 'pc' as indicated by another reviewer - a 10-second change that improves clarity considerably.

  • Summary: I needed a second monitor in my recording studio for my Dual DVI graphics card. After purchasing a DVI-to-HDM cable it worked great. Crystal clear image. I ALSO wanted to use my secondary screen to watch televison. Again, it worked great. The price was fantastic for this product. I have absolutely no complaints.

User Manual CD Disc damaged

Lee, Amazon
4 September 2012
  • Summary: The product is fine, but I needed some further information for the setup, so I tried to use the User manual CD Disc that came with the product. I found it to be so warped that it was unusable in my PC. I called Samsung customer service and asked for a new disc. The service rep said he needed more information to make sure the monitor was not stolen. I told him not even to go down that road and I asked to speak to a supervisor.
