How can a screen that received a single star in ergonomics finish with such a good final score? Because it renders colors so well, has a stylish design and is particularly reactive. And these are often the most important characteristics for a monitor. Read more

    • Design and finishing touches, Good reactivity, Accurate colors after adjustment, Deep blacks, good contrast
    • Very basic ergonomics, No zero dead pixel policy, TN panel = lower viewing angle darkens, The latest LG (W2252TQ) is even more reactive!

The Samsung T220 might be the most stylish LCD monitor we've seen, but average feature set and performance diminish its overall appeal. Despite its flashy looks, it's best used as a simple, productivity display. Read more

    • Smashing good looks; matte finish means less glare than with glossy screens.
    • A tad on the pricey side; merely average performance and feature set; wobbly stand.

T he last couple of years has seen 22-inch monitors go mainstream, and there's been a large number of releases in this segment. In such a crowded market, it has become increasingly difficult for companies to be able to offer features that make their products stand out. Keeping this in mind, Samsung recently launched its Syncmaster T220 model, which promises some impressive specifications and very stylish looks. Without further ado, let’s check it out... Read more

Bought this monitor/tv to replace my broken 20" CRT TV. The picture looks red in the beginning. After tuning, it is just amazing. It's crystal crisp for HD channels. It also serves as an external monitor for my laptop. The size is just right for a bedroom/office TV. Highly recommended! Read more

Found mine at Costco as a Last One Display Model Sale for about $145. For that price, I don't need a box or manual. Had this for over one year and no problems ever. No HDMI, but has digital connector. Recommend highly. Read more

Boy am I glad to own one of these. If I had to put up with all the other LCD screens I see every day on the work run, I'd have to lift all my information through comparitively fluffy, fuzzy and dull monitors. 2 years on from initial purchase, as my first ever LCD screen the Samsung has earned a bit of brand loyalty. Chosen with pre-researched popular opinion taken on board, I'm glad to now pass on my own praises for a great premium screen. Read more

This was my first Samsung LCD in a long time and I was NOT disappointed. I have Samsung LCD TV's and so I expected high quality, which I got. This monitor features a 1680x1050 resolution on a 22" widescreen matte display. It has a 2ms response time, and has no ghosting during games. I was happy to see that there was no color bleeding between the pixels as there are with most cheap LCD's. Also, the black levels were very good for an LCD. Read more

  • Random Shutoffs?

I have had this monitor since Boxing day of 2008. When I have it hooked up to my Macbook Pro I usually make the T220 my primary display. But in the recent month I have had this shut off problem. Where when I am playing a game like Wow, the monitor will shut off. Weird, I will be sending it back to Samsung, or I will change the power input.

    Answered by nilufer2 2009-03-26:

Yes, you should send it back to the Samsung store, and use the warranty if you still have

  • Samsung T220 vs. T220HD. Which is better?

If the Samsung T220 is rated the number one monitor, how come the T220HD version with more inputs and a digital tuner is rated lower?

    Answered by nilufer2 2009-03-26:

    The T220HD has a built in TV tuner...the T220 doesn't. T220 does a better job than T220Hd, that's why it's rated the number one
