Refurb Samsung - Can't Recommend
JOHN P., Newegg
15 March 2015
Summary: I already owned this monitor and wanted to add a second monitor to my setup. This was the exact model I already owned. This refurbished monitor is darker than my other monitor and has a pink hue to it. I've tried every setting within the monitor and Windows and cannot adjust it out.
Summary: I have to agree with others that the monitor is not rigidly mounted into the stand (there is some play in the monitor stand) but the picture quality is very good so far. The covers to hide the connection and power cables are a nice touch as well. Overall this met my expectations.
Summary: On 10 10 2011, our 36th wedding aniversary, my husband and I purchased 2 samsung S23A550H monitors. The warrenty has not yet expired and each has quit working at all. The control buttons are non responsive.
Summary: I WAS NOT SURE ABOUT BUYING A REFURB--MAYBE DEAD PIX OR WHATEVER--BUT ALL WORKED OUT THE BOX LIKE A BRAND NEW MONITOR. THE ONLY THING MISSING WAS THE NEW SMELL. I GOT LUCKY TO HAVE SAVED HUNDREDS AND STILL GET THE MODEL I WANTED. HOPE YOU PEOPLE GET LUCKY TOO.!!!
Summary: for basic data entry, or gaming, this monitor is king of the crop. Any 40 cent monitor would do. But these low-end TN panels with LED backlighting are so bright that what should be light orange, bright yellow, lime green, etc, get washed out or even turned while.
Summary: Ordered this monitor, planning on getting a second. I work as a digital artist, and this monitor is everything I look for. I have used a Samsung p2370 Syncmaster for the past two years, and thought it as a top-of-the-line LCD Monitor in the $200 range.
Summary: Some very confusing specs give the impression you are getting less than you actually are when you buy this unit. Advertised as either LCD or LED, 1 year or 3 year warranty, and salespersons don't seem to know much more than the ads.
Summary: Great picture, attractive monitor, but with a permanent tilt. Hey Samsung, monitors are supposed to be adjustable, from slight tilt to vertical. This model leans way back, totally non-adjustable. Good monitor, but poorly designed stand. Samsung should know better.
