"Pink Spots" & Ghosts
Samuel Clemens, Amazon
10 August 2011
Summary: I've had many Samsung monitors and never an issue until this PX2370. 17 days after set up "pink spots", streaks and ghosting suddenly appeared an remained despite all troubleshooting efforts. A Google search reveals its a common Samsung defect with monitors and TV's. Fortunately I can return mine.
Warning Mac users--does not work properly for Macs!

Summary: Just connected this to my new MacBook Pro via DVI. Immediately noticed that the text looks really crummy, particularly in the Finder. Pixelated or not anti-aliasing properly or something. Display was set correctly to 1920x1080 at 60 Hertz. Phoned Samsung support and was told that although the monitor is "Mac compatible," there are "sometimes problems with the way text looks and sometimes the whole picture looks bad. We see that a lot with Macs." ?!
Cons: Screen is much brighter at the bottom than it is at the top. Image shimmers and shakes when powering up or shutting down the PC. Brightness varies depending on the angle at which you are using it, not quite as bad as a laptop, though.
