Summary: My confussion is about the "extras" that are listed at the end of the overview of the product so I can get the most out of this product: "Get the most from your SAMSUNG P2770H with these extras! --- a service plan, extra memory sticks, an INtel Core i7-930, et al." What's going on here?
Pros: I am planning on buying this model instead of the P2770HD TV because the response time is listed as 3ms faster.
Summary: I would have gladly given 5 eggs for excellent picture quality but HDMI issue is too serious to ignored. I believe this issue may not only confined to Samsung LCD at the moment.
Pros: Relatively good looking, light and generate less heat. It's bright and produces sharp image. I like the picture quaility and at this price level, it's a seal. Check the pricing on Apple 27" monitor, ridiculous.
Cons: HDMI provides better quality picture so I wanted to use HDMI connection but I can't. Monitor wouldn't go to sleep with HDMI. I am rather upset that I can only rely on DVI connection. This is critical as with HDMI this monitor's not energy efficient. Also, technical support is non-existent with Sa...
Summary: Power, video and audio jacks are rear facing, not downward facing as they are with many other monitors. Base of stand is a large oval that projects about 6" behind the monitor, meaning you can't push it up against a wall. The stand tilts back, but not very far.
Pros: Attractive design, it's nice to look at even when it's off. HDMI in and audio out jacks. I use this as the main display for my laptop when I'm at home, all I have to plug in is a USB hub and the HDMI cable. Matte finish screen, much better in an office setting.
Cons: It wobbles a bit on it's stand. The stand isn't going to break, its just all plastic and has a bit a flex. If you bump your desk, the monitor will wobble back a forth a couple times.
Summary: None of the cons I listed are consistently annoying. They only become noticeable in specific and uncommon circumstances. For the majority of games and movies I've watched on the P2770H, I have been please with its performance.
Pros: Unless you're really nit-picky, the P2770H is a very good monitor for gaming and videos. My first impression was how huge the monitor was. You really have to see it in person to appreciate what a 27" PC monitor looks like :P. It's certainly large enough for anything I can imagine doing on a PC. T...
Cons: These are all my gripes: The black level of the P2770H is noticeably brighter than my CRT. With that said, the max white brightness is so intense, that you're eyes won't notice any illuminated blacks. The screen does suffer from some minor backlight bleed around the edges, but I've never noticed ...
Summary: Taste Preferences: There is a clear bezel edge around the edge of the entire screen. The monitor bezel itself is a reddish hue. The bezel itself is actually glossy, which can cause distractions.
Pros: Great Picture +1 Egg, No Dead Pixels +1 Egg, Big +1 Egg, Good Brand +1 Egg
Cons: HDMI does not work well when coming from a PC. I've tried all of the overscan/underscan settings including using the "Size & Position" settings on the monitor itself. There are others in the reviews that says everything is fine after they tweaked it...but it isn't. The best way to view this monit...
Summary: Very good monitor for gamer enthusiasts. Will provide more than expected quality of picture. Just hope the next one I get isn't defected.
Pros: - Monitor is bigger than I thought when I bought it, its huge! - Colors are vibrant and bright. - Glossy finish makes for a good desk appearance. - Auto finds which port it is hooked up to. - Perfect for gaming, very good response time, no ghosting.
Cons: - Had to RMA the first one, had a green vertical line showing on the right side. - Not a big fan of the touch sense menu buttons, rather have actually buttons. - DVI cable provided is a little too short, no slack at all in my configuration.
Summary: -this replaced a vizio 32" that died after 2 years. -was thinking of getting the viewsonic which had 1ms / 27in but this was cheaper. -Hope this Samsung Monitor last long. Then again I have a 5 year old samsung 19inch monitor which has survived so far.
Pros: -no noticeable ghost/blur drag when playing pc games. Such as COD:MW2 / Singularity / Aion / Transformers: war for cybertron .... was smooth -2ms GTG -does the Job -the clarity when playing pc games / watching movies. -high res 1920 x 1080 -its lite weight
Cons: -the stand / monitor tends to wiggly then again most monitors with this style of neck/stand tend to shake. -sometimes when turning on pc and monitor it takes the monitor time to adjust. Takes a few moments as in a few several seconds.
