Nice big screen

Summary: I was really pleased with the quality of this big screen and its display adjustments. After four years, though, it has begun showing text in a degraded, almost illegible way, especially in the upper right quadrant. If I highlight the area, the text returns to normal, but that's a pain to have to do so often. I recently tested for dead pixels, and for all the colors there were almost no dead pixels.
Summary: December 2009 I purchased a Samsung Touch of Color monitor and until November 2010 it worked fine...and then the screen went dead, with no warning. I placed another monitor on the computer and it worked, I connected the Samsung to another computer and it didn't work, leading me to the conclusion that the monitor had a problem.
Summary: I own and use 8 of these lcd's on a quad monitor set up. Been using for about 6 months now and the quality is pretty good but if you're coming from the 226BW don't bother with an upgrade (this is more of a downgrade). I gave my other set to a friend and have been trying to trade this set back from my old one for 6 months...
Summary: I had an older version of this monitor, and bought two more for the office. They came and I was disappointed by the stand, no tilt, not able to rise and lower, its a cheap un-articulating plastic contact that is actually quite short. This is a redesign in the wrong direction, as I bought the same monitor, 2 years ago for the same price with a heavy duty armature. Thinking of returning, very unergonomic samsung, you should know better.
Summary: ***UPDATE: After using the monitor for a couple of months, I have to say I might have been a bit generous with 3 stars. Using this in a fairly dark room, the bleed-through is awful on the top and bottom edges, not only with black, but any dark colors. There is simply no way to reduce the backlight directly, and all of the gamma, brightness, and contrast controls (on the monitor and with my ATI drivers) do very little to reduce the bleed-through. Aggravated?
