Looks Nice, Works Nice, Happy!

tracytomm, Ebay
3 December 2012
  • Summary: This is a very attractive monitor and works well for my needs. It only has a VGA connection, no HDMI or DVI. There are no speakers. The one I purchased is 8 years old but looks and works like new. I am happy with my purchase.

Best of its day

Link, Amazon
9 June 2012
  • Summary: 19" monitor, amazing colors on the display, pixel response time was the best of its day and is still more than fast enough for today. Auto adjust works well... I don't really know what to say, I've had one of these for 7 years and the colors are just so good, my friends would buy newer monitors and yet they almost seemed black and white when placed side by side with this.

Stay away from this monitor

RichR49, Amazon
25 October 2009
  • Summary: Just after the warranty was up, the thing comes out of hibernation or sleep mode and enters the "pong" mode with a bouncing message advising it is set to the wrong resolution. Mine is not. Samsung offers no help, but will fix it for the cost of a new one. There are fixes involving soldering a resistor to the circuit board. Removing the power cord helps sometimes. At first, I thought it was my computer having standby/hibernate problems.

Excellent Monitor

cbaquino, Ebay
19 June 2006
  • Summary: Two years ago there was a huge difference between DVI and the D-Sub (VGA) connections. Technology has come a long way since then, and the difference in quality between the two are almost negligible in the Samsung 915N. I use this monitor for gaming, and the screen is clear, bright, and the 8ms refresh rate is phenomenal. I don't get streaking like I used to with my old 25ms lcd monitor. The only problem that I find with the 915N, is the small buttons.

Bright and crisp!

rosses12, Ebay
5 April 2006
  • Summary: I went from a 17" CRT monitor and would never go back! This monitor is crisp, bright and huge. My text on my old CRT looks very blurry after using this monitor for just 5 minutes. The increased resolution of a 19" makes a big difference in ease of computer use as well. I am moderate gamer, and was willing to trade off the crispness of an LCD monitor and take a hit in refresh time. The most hardcore of gamers will notice the ghosting on this monitor, but most will not.

A great qualitative monitor

S. Mason "the reasonable reviewer", Amazon

  • Summary: This is a great monitor for browsing the internet, basic computer functions, and intensive graphic MMORPG's. Some of the major pros for the monitor itself are the vividness of images expressed, its colors are extremely sharp and look very realistic, while the ability to control the monitors' actual brightness is a plus too.
