Summary: I picked up this monitor for a song. Because its Multisync capable, I can get a 1920 x 1080 resolution. Now I would consider that fantastic for a 2005 monitor. The image is very bright and very clear.
Summary: I picked up this monitor on Black Friday. I had no problems setting it up, but it's too bright for my taste. When I try to turn down the brightness the whites become tinged with blue. And the text didn't seem all that crisp, no matter if I tried to manually adjust the setting or do the Auto.
Summary: Saw a Staples ad for a different monitor. While looking at it an employee directed me to this one, larger and cheaper than the one I went for! I'm thrilled with it! Only after installing it did I bother to check out the reviews, and again I'm thrilled.
Summary: I bought TWO of these monitors on Black Friday for $200 each (after rebates) and what a great investment! Both monitors display images and text that are crisp and bright. I noticed one monitor was flickering or shimmering, only to discover that I had a bad graphics card.
Summary: HAD THIS BEAUTY FOR A MONTH NOW & REALLY LOVE IT!! GREAT PICTURE, GREAT COLOR (JUST USING THE ADJUSTMENTS ON THE MONITOR ITSELF) & GREAT PRICE. AND GOING FROM A BIG, BULKY 17" CRT TO THIS ONE IS NOTHING SHORT OF THRILLING!! ONLY DOWN-SIDE IS ONE DEAD PIXEL...
Summary: Great product by Samsung but unfortunately I found one dead pixel on the LCD screen. It's not very noticible, althought I did a pixel test which I found off the internet luckily there was only 1 dead pixel and no more.
Summary: Got this LCD last night from BestBuy for $200. I love the crisp images but it was way too bright for my taste at first. Everything is fine now after I messed around with the settings. At first I had some 1/4 inch wide lines on the right side of the screen flikering up and down the right side.
Summary: I too bought my 914v on Black Friday at Staples. It has one pixel that is stuck Red, about 3-4 inches down and to the right of center. Samsung will only replace with 7 or more dead pixels and Staples is out of them so I guess I'll just have to live with it..
Summary: I am also having problems with the brightness. I've spent countless hours calibrating this thing... just when I think I got it right I notice another image that doesn't look right. The monitor by default is EXTREMELY bright. To the point that it hurts my eyes and is very washed out.
