Summary: Couldn't ask for a better monitor. Plugged in power and video cable, unit came up with a perfect screen resolution and brightness/contrast setting. Colors are bright and easy to work with. Recommend for inexpensive but completely satisfiable monitor.

Summary: I have owned this monitor for nearly 5 years and it has been fantastic. I am impressed not only with the brightness and how vivid the colors are; but that it is constance across the entire screen (ie no one edge is brighter from the lamp and colors are accurate on edges, corners, and middle of the screen). The monitor also starts up quickly from sleep (important if you need to see BIOS info at POST).
Summary: This Monitor is just what the seller said it was. I am very happy with it but I have only had it for a couple hours. But the picture is very clear and it looks brand new, every body let this one get away.
Summary: Item was ordered "standard" shipping & received "undamaged" in five business days. Monitor instructional CD is clear and thorough. Five minutes to connect after reading the instructions. Monitor is exactly as advertised. It is clear, sharp, & pleasing to look at, and has no quirks or malfunctions. Do not know how it will perform for gamers or graphics.
Summary: I got the 740BX for my wife's Macintosh iBook. I plugged into the VGA output with Apple's adaptor; after pressing the "Mode" button, it began working immediately. I had previously applied the "Screen Spanning Doctor" patch for the iBook to permit the 740BX to operate at its native 1280x1024 resolution; see [...] If your computer doesn't (or can't be patched to) support 1280x1024, I don't recommend this monitor; it will be fuzzy.
Summary: I was desperately searching for a 17 inch monitor for my 2nd monitor on my desk, a 17 inch was the only size that would fit on my desk with my larger 24 inch display. Most LCD's by other manufacturers use Samsung LCD's inside their cases, and I had great experience with my old Samsung (my dell 17 inch died) so I ordered this new monitor and was very pleased with the colors, blacks and whites.
Summary: After about a million years with a standard CRT-tube NEC multi-sync, I had to get a new monitor as mine finally died. I loved the old one because color was much better than anything out there and I work with retouching and art images all day long. I'm a little skeptical about LCD, but am dealing with this new tech.
