Summary: I purchased this monitor to have a large display that I could use in portrait mode. I used it at the office to show client presentations and it works great and provides a large enough screen to view from a few feet away. This is exactly what I wanted. The only draw back is the angle of view has to be pretty straight on when in portrait mode or the colors do not appear correctly. This is the only reason for 4 instead of 5 stars.
Summary: THE MOST HARM DONE TO MY CUSTOMER SUPPORT VIEW OF SAMSUNG PRODUCTS IS THE ABANDONMENT OF RESPOSIBLITY TO TO REPAIR THE BD-P1200 FIREWARE SCREW-UP .. I PAID AROUND $500 FOR THE BD-P1200 .. ABT. A FEW MONTHS OUT OF WARRANTY A FIRMWARE UPDATE LEFT MY PLAYER NON-OPERATIONAL .. ALL PLAYERS SHOULD OF BEEN RECALLED .. BUYER SHOULD HIRE A LAWYER BEFORE BUYING SAMSUNG PRODUCTS .. HA! HA! WHERE IS SAMSUNG LOYALTY TO THE EARLY ADAPTER CUSTOMERS ..
Summary: I have owned this monitor for nearly a year and I still love it. It sat next to a 24" Samsung for quite a while and is now my only monitor. The brightness is a little much and can't really be tweaked, the color is off somewhat and there's a lot of back light bleed through at the edges. The controls are abysmal and that coupled with the monitor not working with a Samsung DVD player on DVI is why it only got 4 stars.
Summary: Just got this monitor, and my main concern was all the comments about the touch buttons. I just can not figure what the complaints are. They are easily visible - they have labels. They work very nicely. And the sequencing of the Menu/selectors/up-down-settings buttons is just typical on most monitors and I got the buttons down pat in about a minute. AND, this design gives it a very nice smooth look. It passed the wife test.
Summary: I'm not a monitor expert, but I love this one. I wanted a 26 inch that would rotate & this one does a great job. The rotate software doesn't seem to work with my system, but I simply click 90-degree rotate on my NVIDIA video card menu & it works fine. As one review mentioned on CNET, the lower viewing angle (like slumped in your chair) is not good at all. Left, right and from above are great.
Summary: I've had this monitor for a while now and I've been very happy with it. I love the size and quality of the display. I don't mind the "invisible" buttons, I think it makes it look cool and it's not that hard to work around. The only qualm I've had with it is the internal speakers. Sometimes they just start humming and I don't have them plugged in to anything and the audio jack isn't touching anything.
Summary: I use the screen for non-demanding tasks (software development), and the screen quality meets or exceeds expectations. My complaint is about the plastic enclosure. First, the buttons are touch-sensitive areas of the plastic rather than real buttons, and I constantly have trouble getting the buttons to respond when adjusting the monitor. Second, the plastic around the screen is highly reflective.
Summary: I replaced a 19" Viewsonic VX924 with this monitor, and so far my choice has been a good one. My monitor had 0 dead pixels, which was the first thing I looked for when I got it connected. The second thing I did when I got the monitor, was turn the brightness down. I think I burned a hole in my retinas... No joke, this thing is BRIGHT. The screen is gorgeous, and the housing is attractive as well. The colors really seem to "pop" compared to my last monitor.
HDCP - HDMI and DVI both allow HDCP control inputs

Summary: I keep reading posts stating that this monitor does not support HDCP on the HDMI port. I have my ONKYO A/V receiver with an XBOX 360 ELITE (HDMI) and a TIVO SERIES 3 (HDMI) connected to this monitor on the HDMI port. I can play all my HDMI (HDCP protected)content and games without any issues. My computer connects using the DVI port also w/o issues. I do not know where all these people are getting that this monitor does not support HDCP.
Summary: This monitor has an amazing color quality, allows scaling from 4:3 , and has HDMI which is a nice bonus. My only complaint is that even using HDMI you cnn't properly scale 1080P it automatically sizes to fit the monitor which causes to look choppy and slightly stretched, so I had to set the output as 720P which still looks nice. PS this monitor does have HDCP unlike some reviews previously mentioned.
