Samsung SyncMaster 2493HM is a 24-inch LCD monitor. Among of its main features include Height Adjustable Stand (HAS), built-in-speakers, HDMI technology, full 1080p HD, 10,000:1 contrast ratio and fast response time. It is designed in full black color finish.

Features

The SyncMaster 2493HM features HDMI allowing user to view high definition image on the monitor. Besides that, it has built-in speakers. It also features 5ms fast response time which reduces blur and supplying clear images making the monitor ideal to play games and watch action movies. In addition, it has 10000:1 dynamic contrast ratio that provides high contrast between light and dark colors on the screen to provide sharper image on the screen. It comes with 4-way adjustable stand allowing user to adjust the stand for with height, swivel, tilt and rotate options. It is built with 4 Watts speakers (2 Watts x 2 Channels). Additionally, it is Energy Star compliant which means that it consumes less energy. It consumes 100 Watts of power during operation and 1.5 Watt in stand by mode. It measures 22.24’’ x 17.62’’ x 9.84’’ in dimension and weighs 18.74 lb.

    While graphics artists may not be too impressed, the budget conscious user will find a lot to like in the 2493HM. Overall we think the Samsung 2493HM is a good monitor and we would recommend the 2493HM to anyone looking for a large 24" monitor that doesn't require the professional color accuracy and gamut of an expensive screen.     Comments about Samsung SyncMaster 2493HM Widescreen LCD Monitor: I just bought a new gaming PC and wanted the right monitor to complement the system. I was happy with 20" Apple Cinema display, but wanted something bigger. After doing some research, I came across this particular monitor.     I mostly use it for office work, no gaming experience. It's connected to a Macbook Pro. Incredible resolution. Very stylish design. The one negative is the touch sensitive brightness/contrast and volume controls. Unless there is light directly on the display, it can be difficult to see the "buttons". It takes getting used to.     The Bad: 1. The soft-touch menu "buttons" are a pain. They activate when you lightly brush up against them (e.g. while reaching to adjust a speaker next to the screen). Also the labeling of the buttons is unreadable unless the lighting in the room is just right (dark gray ink on black plastic)... for a product that is measured by "contrast ratios", how did they ever get this wrong?! 2.
