Summary: I am giving this monitor one star short of perfect because of the quality control issues I've faced. First, I have to say this is a fantastic display. I use it for photo editing, as well as gaming and business purposes. It does everything exceptionally well. Fast refresh, brilliant, realistic color, razor sharp text. However, the first one I bought had two dead USB ports. I exchanged it for a new one that had a dead DVI port. Now I'm waiting for the third one.
Summary: I created a profile using the Monaco hardware and software configuration. The colors are still a little bit off, but my ColorMunki comes in this week. Hopefully I can get it all worked out! Other than that, the monitor looks great when paired up with my Apple MacBook Pro. I wish that the software worked to turn the monitor and have it auto rotate on the screen.
Summary: Got this to use with a new MacBook Pro 2.6 for photo editing. After checking out all the monitors we went with this one. The picture is stunning and accurate. I am sure it will soon but I could have saved some money with the BW version and just forgot the auto tilt.
Summary: I wanted a good monitor for photo editing beyond the below average 19" LCD monitor I got bundled with my computer, and based on the reviews, this appeared to be a good tradeoff between price and quality (the other candidate was Dell monitor). I liked the monitor overall except for a couple of minor annoyances: (1) the monitor appears to make a high-pitched noise coming from the back which is not loud but quite annoying in a quiet room and (2) I could see some green color...
