Summary: My Samsung 245T had a similar problem to that with a Dell 2408WFP that I had bought and returned: The Brightness gradient decreased noticeably from left-to-right. The left 1/4 of the screen was noticeably brighter than the other portions and there was considerable backlight leakage around those edges. I had to turn the Brightness down to 10-15 to get a standard B/W brightness gradient test pattern adjusted and the Contrast down to 40-50.

Summary: I got the monitor on Friday. When I hooked it up to an extra HDDVD player using HDMI the moniter could see that the interface was being used but could not see the HDDVD player when I changed the source. The same thing occured when I used the component video conection. Anyone else have this problem and is there a work around? Thanks.
Summary: I bought this thinking "okay, it's good enough and the reviews say it's quite solid so I'll take a chance and save $400." I received it and tried to love this monitor but even after many tweaks and 4 different calibrations with an X-rite i1 hardware calibrator, the results weren't good enough. The reds are the main problem - boosted to the point of being harsh and pink with bleeding.
Summary: The 245T emits a constant buzzing sound from the upper back part of the screen. In a silent room, you can definitely hear it. Turning on MPA helps, but MPA makes the screen seem to vibrate. I returned the original 245T that I bought to Samsung under warranty. They sent another one that had the *same exact problem*. I returned that one, and they sent another. *Same exact problem.* That's 3 brand new Samsung 245T's with the same issue.
