Summary: After reading reviews I purchased this from Amazon. I used only a few days and after calibration I noticed the colors were not accurate from one side of screen to the other also sharpness was off, I had to return it.
Everthing this monitor is capable of doing, it does it beyound the advert.

Summary: This monitor is great. I bought one in 2009 and just bought another in 2011. Color is superb, resolution, HD everything this monitor is capable of doing, it does it better than advertised. Iv been an owner of the 245T for 2 years and have never had any trouble out of it.
Summary: All around an excellent product. Great picture, great build, great price. Could not be happier. 24 inches is an excellent size, big enough for any needs, yet small enough to fit easily on my desk.
Summary: My wife gave me this for Valentine's Day, 2009, and I gave her a couple of necklaces. I can't wear the monitor, but it gets lots of comments when people see it. I did a lot of research before I decided on this one. A cow-orker told me I couldn't go wrong with Samsung. I knew I wanted a wide viewing angle, because I wanted to be able to sit close to the screen and still see everything. I have an X-Rite Display calibrator, but haven't calibrated it, yet.
Beautiful Monitor - Marred by poor support and backlight failure

Summary: The 245T is a beautiful wide gamut 24" monitor with a nice selection of inputs and a very nice adjustable base. It profiles very well using my Eye-One Proof hardware. There is an bit of a medium pitched buzz coming from the monitors electronics, an annoyance, but not a deal breaker. However, Samsungs support for what is ostensibly a professional product is down right abysmal. After 1.5yrs my monitor began to suffer from partial backlight failure.
Summary: I've had this monitor in service for almost a year. I was pretty much sold on Samsung after my very positive experience with one of their LCD televisions. Although I don't have a real calibration tool, I was able to get quite satisfactory color calibration using the built-in tools on my Mac. I get dependable color from camera all the way through to printer, largely a credit to the monitor itself. I do a lot of photo editing, and I appreciate the wide color gamut.
I love this monitor and I should have bought it from the beginning

Summary: I ordered this monitor after I returned my previous monitor, the Samsung 2443BWT, because its viewing angle was too narrow. This finally is a monitor that I am happy with. Very happy with. I can pivot it, which is important because most of the photos I take are in portrait mode (I take pictures of models mostly). It has the highest resolution my Mac Mini can display (1920 x 1200). It is very bright and sharp. It has a matte screen.
Summary: I have been using it for a month and I am very happy with this monitor: - no dead or stuck pixels, - good, even backlight, - sharp text, great colors, and a wide angle of viewing (S-PVA !) - Far Cry looks and plays great in full resolution, - no buzzing sound that some others reported, - 1920 x 1200 is a lot of screen space comparing to my old 17" LCD (Samsung 173P), - USB hub is built-in, I have two computers connected (DVI and analog).
Very impressed - but I got a bad one the first time

Summary: I did a lot of searching for a 24" 1920x1200 LCD monitor. I read hundreds of reviews from amazon and other retailer sites like new-egg. Since I was not able to see most of these in the store, I had to go on reviews. Well, thankfully, this monitor is exactly as I expected. It is quick (I do play a few games like Crysis) and sharp and the colors are very nice.
Summary: My Samsung 245T had a similar problem to that with a Dell 2408WFP that I had bought and returned: The Brightness gradient decreased noticeably from left-to-right. The left 1/4 of the screen was noticeably brighter than the other portions and there was considerable backlight leakage around those edges. I had to turn the Brightness down to 10-15 to get a standard B/W brightness gradient test pattern adjusted and the Contrast down to 40-50.
