Good monitor, Blown once.

Pros: Nice large monitor. Looks good from all reasonable viewing angles.
Cons: DVI connector is DVI-D and does not allow a DVI-I cable to be used. If a DVI-I cable is required to be used and a DVI-I-DVI-D adapter is added, there is too little room to connect the adapter and cable before the tight radius below the monitor connections. The connections could be angled slightly...
Summary: This is a no frills monitor with a good LCD panel. For some strange reason the analog connection stopped working properly a little over a year after I got it.
Pros: Nice panel, displays colors vividly and images sharply.
Cons: The analog connection stopped displaying 1920x1200 properly for no reason. The lack of raised buttons makes adjustments a pain, especially in the dark. Cheap stand. Dynamic contrast is annoying to work with because of the constantly changing brightness levels.
Summary: an addendum to my previous review: another issue with this monitor is that the optimum viewing angle is so restricted that with my head being stationary, there is a visible brightness variance from center to the edges (up, down, left, and right).
Pros: Great display for home or work. I love the high pixel density and 2048x1152 resolution on this monitor. Obviously, considering the price and specs, if you're a graphics professional or have exacting needs for your displays, look elsewhere. But for things like programming, Web browsing and gaming,...
Cons: No HDMI, but that's not really a con. After a little more than 3 months of use, I'm seeing a 5-6 pixel wide vertical white line about an inch from the right edge. Based on the other recent reviews, I'm guessing that this problem is more common than I initially thought. Quality control issues at S...
Summary: Not a con but this one doesn't swivel and no height adjustment so no complains here because I knew that before I bought this monitor. Luck I found it with -$10 discount coupon and free shipping.
Pros: This is a great monitor for most of the tasks that you can do daily, great for gaming too, there's not ghosting or lag. It's a very very bright monitor, most of the time I have the monitor set to <50% of total brightness. Colors just as expected, the design and the piano finish makes this monitor...
Cons: Before I bought this monitor I was thinking about the viewing angles, and I thought "meh, maybe is not bad at all" I was wrong, this monitor has VERY BAD viewing angles, the colors change very easily if you move just a little. The base of the monitor, well, is not hard at all to put all together,...
Summary: This is an excellent monitor for occasional home use. But the monitor is overly sensitive to viewing angle. By moving your head just an inch or two, the colors and contrast completely change. Not good for photography or 8 hour work days.
Pros: Big, bright, high resolution, good contrast, inexpensive.
Cons: Hard to calibrate, overly sensitive to viewing angle.
Summary: Returned one that arrived with a broken VESA mount. Half of it was clanging around inside the monitor. The stand is easy to connect to the monitor if you follow the directions. I have done it twice now and if not for the reviews on this site I wouldn't have even thought about it.
Pros: This monitor is fast, bright and high contrast. It's great for movies and games. It's huge and looks great even from a distance. No dead pixels. Nice looking casing and stand.
Cons: The panel is a TN type panel. It's extremely sensitive to vertical viewing angle. Due to its size and typical viewing position, there is a very noticeable variation in color from the top to the bottom of the screen during normal use with static input like a web browser or a graphic editor. This m...
Summary: The monitor stand is difficult to attach to the display and is NOT adjustable in height.
Pros: The performance of the display is great, especially for the nice price. Took me a moment to figure out the control buttons were on the side of the frame, hidden from view.
Cons: The setup CD which included the display driver, e.g. parameters, did not work for Vista 64-bit. Needed to go to the Samsung website to download one that worked. Even so, the .ICM file was not recognized by Adobe CS3 Photoshop. It seem Samsung does not have much of a budget to hire software progra...
Summary: Good value for an all purpose monitor. 5ms response time rules it out for Home Theater. Not good enough quality for full on design work - I'd spend a bit more. Really disappointed about the picture quality with a Mac
Pros: Connected to a PC (Vista and Win2000) via DVI really good picture for the money. Lovely huge size
Cons: Not very good picture connected to MacPro (DVI) - looks too pixelated and brightness/contrast cannot be adjusted sufficiently to get the high quality I'm after (Photoshop) Controls on side of monitor are really hard to use.
Summary: It's been 6 months and no rebate. I sent in everything according to the form. My doorman had written on the UPC label so the Serial number was covered slightly. They sent me a postcard saying that the serial number is unreadable and asking me to resubmit with a photo of the serial number.
Pros: Inexpensive 24" monitor. The difference in size between a 22" and a 24" is very noticeable at first but it grows on you quickly to the point where you can't live with anything smaller.
Cons: Truly bad horizontal viewing angles. I have a similar 22" Samsung and it is not as noticeable. If you place the center of the monitor level to your eyes, the top 1/4 of the monitor is a different shade of color than the rest. Most pronounced when you're viewing blues - the top half is purple. I'm...
