An excellent monitor

Summary: This monitor has a great appearance. The screen is bright and sharp, colors are vivid, and there are no flickering or dead pixels--even with an analog signal. I bought the monitor to use in the office with my four-year-old IBM T40 for general computer use--surfing the web, email, documents, and...
Summary: Love this monitor so much that I bought two - one for my home office and one for my work office! Many of my colleagues have this monitor. It has great resolution, contrast, brightness, etc. Everything you could want
Summary: I have owned this monitor for 2 months and use it heavily for a mix of: software development, technical graphics, writing, Web surfing and games (a good mix of different text and graphics functions). Good: - Text, even small text is crisp and easy to read. - Black level is excellent.
Summary: Great monitor. Definitely some bleed but it is a large LCD, so that should be expected. Check out the online reviews of the S, A, & C panels before you buy. Samsung has removed the 2 means of telling which type of panel you have.
Great monitor... the key is calibration and proper setup

Summary: I recently purchased a refurbished model and was a bit concerned about a couple reviews that said the color, contrast and brightness of the monitor wasn't very good. I use a Mac so I do have an advantage out of the box but upon turning this on, I could see where someone might feel there's a problem.
Summary: Excellent monitors for the price, running two side by side. I have the digital inputs on the monitors going to two CPU's equipped with DVI cards. The analog inputs are being used by the same CPU as a dual desktop for photo editing. I use the source button to toggle back and forth.
Summary: Before buying this monitor please read several of the reviews, especially those that reference the difference in the 226BW's LCD panels. The non-Samsung produced panels have caused many complaints about the 226BW.
Summary: Straight out of the Made in China box the monitor works like a champ. Nothing less than satisfied with the displays quality. Backlight, pixel, and text clarity combined with other past issues are at least nonexistent with this unit.
Summary: First, let me say that I was using a 19" Dell LCD that I was very satisfied with. It wasn't glamorous but it is still a good monitor. There have been a lot of comments made about the dreaded blue screen on this model Samsung at different places on the net.
Summary: I'm very picky about my computer displays, having owned many CRT and LCD monitors which I spend way too many hours in front of. Especially at its recent after-rebate price, the 226BW has the best price-to-quality ratio of the 5 LCDs I currently use.
