Excellent while it works...

Summary: After over 3 years of good use, and now past warranty, this monitor now has an annoying flicker that lasts about 5 minutes after startup. While it is flickering, it is unusable. This condition does go away, but every day when I start my computer, the flicker lasts a little longer.
Summary: It worked fine for 4 years. Now, I have a blinking issue (only for a minute at turning on, though). Would not recommend buying a used one. Update: Fixed DIY. I spent about $30 to purchase a soldering kit and replacement capacitors. Took about an hour to fix (I"m a first timer).
great montior but try to buy them at a lower price and better service at COSTCO's

Summary: Like any purchase of considerable value, I went over a fair number of reviews before committing to a purchase, Suffice to say this is my second Samsung 22" monitor as I need multiple screens for my kind of work.
Summary: I bought this monitor from my local Fry's in Decemeber 2007. It was on sale for $270 and the picture in store was great. For that price, I couldn't pass it up. However, it took me longer than normal to setup the colors properly - everything seemed to have a blue tint to it.
Summary: First, the good: This was my first LCD, let alone a widescreen, after finally coming off the CRT gaming hang up and worry about coloring and response rate. Although the 226BW is a TN panel not built with the higher quality displays that the 24" and up LCDs have (which also have 1900x1200 and up...
Summary: Most monitors look great for movies and pictures. What about for spreadsheets, word processing, and reading web pages? Outside of native resolution, which I find too small for extended use, most monitors are unpelasant to use.
A lottery for 2 Monitor Setup, determine your Panel Type

Summary: I urge people to read this review and post what versions of the 226BW they are receiving from Amazon... as well as anyone who has posted recently, please edit your review and post your panel version.
Summary: Purchaced on 10/23/07 Model Code LS22MEHSFV/XAA Manufactured 07/30/07 Model No: M220EW01 AU Optronics (You guessed it, this monitor is not built by Samsung but by a cheaper 3rd party)- Its an A Model Made in China I bought this at end of October and recieved it in 2 days.
Summary: The monitor has a nice image but we are running into some issues with it that I am still trying to work out. this monitor is being used in a graphic design environment. We are using this on a Mac system and cannot get the contrast-color balance to adjust into acceptable parameters.
