Summary: I've had the monitor for over two years now and it is still performing quite well. The picture is clear and bright and has not deteriorated with time. I did see one or two errant pixels (they would be bright green all the time), but this was temporary and they went away. I recall one reviewer saying the monitor looked flimsy; I suppose that isn't entirely wrong but it has performed well for a while now so I find it to be a quality product.
Summary: Samsung reliability is well known, and they are the pioneer in LCD technology. had this for almost 3 years and never had a problem. it is power usage is very very low and saved us tons of money on electricity. used it as a second monitor while the kids were watching their movie on it I was still working on documents on the first monitor using the same computer.
Summary: I needed this monitor to match the one I have in the office, for a dual monitor setup. Since models change so often, it is hard to find a match, but BH had it. And at a price over[$]less than I paid for the first one. This is a very good monitor, no complaints and I use it for photo work, CAD and other graphics. No dead pixels either.
Summary: Really amazed at this monitor... Went at Fry's & Best Buy, then check them all and it was the best. I have a set of test photos, and the sharpness of my kid little face was one or two steps up any other monitor I could try - even the most recent ones. 225UW is same. Contrast does not look exceptional on the paper, but honestly I could not see the difference with others of higher spec (using colorful flowers on a dark background) only cons: - yes, some backlight bleeding...
Summary: I have recently purchased 6 of these from Amazon to replace 4 Samsung 19" LCD 940b. I now have 8 total that I use for day trading and general business web/computer use (3 computers 2 driving 2 each and one driving 4). This is an awesome monitor and I have been very happy with the quality for the price.
