Summary: had this monitor for over 6 months and it has been a good monitor but it has one issue.it is very washed out image which i fixed using the ati control catalyst software and adjusted the gamma.once i did that the picture quality is great and love the size, I've read that using the dvi connection somewhat fixes the washed out look but i only have vga for now.
Summary: Nice clear, sharp picture. I have my brightness set at 35%, and it'll work even in the brightest daylight room. I don't like the single support point, though. When you're pounding away on your keyboard, the monitor tends to rock back and forth. I had to stick a wedge of business cards under one corner to make it stop.
Summary: Samsung swapped refurbished monitor for original with bad pixels. To their credit - no questions asked! Refurbished monitor not perfect as minor light bleeding from top of screen and second base scratched (kept original). Imperfections not worth the trouble to go through another exchange process. Pic quality otherwise excellent. Exterior piano black plastic looks classy with matching multi-adjusting pedestal.
"Acceptable display, but for the money, get a Dell."

Pros: Great size for multitasking documents. Bright screen and contrast.
Cons: Control software and buttons are impossible to work. Make sure you have the most updated driver for your video card to avoid fuzzy display. Save your stamp with the rebate; they "cancel" the offer without giving you a reason.
Good for the price, but puts form over function in annoying ways.

Summary: Well, it sure beats an entry level $200 tiny panel monitor, and it sure looks better than some of these larger LCD monitors that combine black and silver in such a garish way that you'd think they came off the set of a 1970's Dr. Who episode. But this thing isn't perfect by a long shot. I consider it acceptable, but not much more.
