Excerpt: Around a year ago, my parents upgraded their home computer, and they decided to gift me their old monitor - which happened to be this Samsung SyncMaster 2232BW. I was absolutely delighted - and I think, in order to understand my instant love of this monitor, you should perhaps know what I was...
Good screen, able to use it with computer and consoles if needed. Would buy another one.

Excerpt: I got this monitor for around £190 about a year and a half ago. Great purchase, very happy with it so far. At first I was surprised at the size, was larger than I imagined. I soon got used to the size and wouldn't go for a smaller monitor now.
Excerpt: I paid £159 for this 22" widescreen monitor from Samsung. The 2232BW looks absolutely superb in its glossy black finish. It really looks like one of their bigger LCD televisions (which I also own), so buying one for my computer was an easy choice to make.
Summary: I agree that the picture quality is suberb and the huge real estate is a joy to use. It is a little disconcerting that the brightness varies slightly as you move your viewpoint up or down but I can live with that. Alas.
Summary: Its a good monitor,i upgraded from a 19" samsung to this one and i can see a big difference.I didnt receive a power cable though with mine, just the euro one with no adapter?.The stand is rubbish though, but i cant fault the monitor. Monitor 5 stand 1
Summary: I don't know if the bloke that gave it 2* due to build quality had a lemon, or has something personal against Samsung, but the finish on mine is excellent - very black, very shiny, surprisingly light for it's size, and very easy to set up.
Very nice, crisp image, vivid colors and sleek design

Summary: I bought this to use with my laptop as an extention monitor and so far I am totally satisfied with Samsung. The view ange is almost perfect as Sony's x-black screens, image Q is amazing and at some point seems to be even better that my Vaio's screen..
Summary: If you had a old 15 or 17 inch CRT monitor and then bought a TFT (partiularly an early example), you may have noticed that the colours weren't so bright or the image so crisp. Well the Samsung 2232BW welcomes back both colours and image crispness.
