Summary: I have had this monitor, the Samsung 214T nearly 4 years now, and it is continuing to work great. No complaints. Love it that I can rotate the display. I keep it rotated in a portrait mode all the time. Makes it so much easier to navigate and read web pages, and not having to scroll near as much as with a monitor in landscape mode.
Summary: Pro's - Price/performance ratio, low glare level, very little flicker even at low brightness levels, anti-glare treatment doesn't distort image, wide viewing angle (vertical and horizontal), relatively consistent contrast across a wide range of brightness levels, size/resolution works well with Windows set at 120dpi and ClearType enabled, but still tolerable when applications (like Web browsers) do not (or cannot) utilize the 120dpi fonts.
Summary: the only glitch was software ...the monitor does not magically display the pictures or desktop when you rotate the monitor you must right click and select. The display is perfect. Worth the little extra money. It's value and quality far above the myriad of all the others. As a photographer I can really evaluate my work. If I need photoshop it's now a pleasure to work with.
Summary: This is the First Item sumsung screen 214t 21.3" but from Amazon it's very good customer service and very fast response and dilivery , this is first samsung 214t 21.3" lcd Monitor large Screen working very good clear and great picture and colors. Im so Happy i used in my office so ,highly recommend . this my review and satisfied with both Samsung screen and Amazon.
Summary: Two days ago my new Samsung SyncMaster 214T arrive. It's 21", 1600x1200. It's gorgeous -- bright, crisp, great colors. Using it connected via DVI to a ThinkPad T43. 1600x1200 on 21" is easy on the eyes, but still a lot of room to spread out. Also, I've noticed that 1600x1200 isn't excessively greater than 1400x1050; it's doesn't cause whiplash moving back and forth.
Summary: Like one of the earlier reviewers, this is my first LCD monitor and I couldn't be more pleased. My old monitor was a Mitsubishi flat-screen Diamond 200, and while I'm still satisified with it, the 214T simply blows it away. At 21.3" the display seems gigantic and the picture and quality have to be seen, to be believed. I'm running it under Linux, using an Nvidia GeForce 6200 and its drawing time is incredibly fast.
Summary: The picture on the SyncMaster series seems to only get better and better. More contrast than earlier models, but still no noticeable eyestrain. The reduced border around the screen allows a 21-inch model to sit on a desktop requiring not much more visual space than older 18-inch models. The black border color seems to be more restful to the eye than the silver.
