Summary: This monitor is very nice, I have purchased 4 because there are four (4) illuminators pushing the monitor and most others have one or two. Very bright monitor and very high specs. Worth buying used and even repairing if needed.
Summary: I have owned several Samsung 225BW monitors, and they were great when purchased new. New ones seem to last a few years, and that's about what I expect. I bought two of these refurb units though, and they are complete junk! 1st one) Worked great and had a great picture for about 3 days. Then it lost all colors except for red. It would start up with a solid red screen.
Summary: Fantastic Monitor. I use two of these for editing video and music. Nice and wide. These monitors brand new were very expensive. They built to last. Also can be fixed very easily if one goes out.
Summary: I'm an i.t manager for a firm of about 70 computer users. I've used alot of monitors, particularly samsung and hp ones. This is the first 22" one we've had, and it makes alot of difference over the 20" SM205BW and HP L2045W we have. Although the same resolution (1680x1050), the 22" is alot nicer to look at/work on, and I personally find 24" is too big to be comfortable (your eyes have to do alot more moving around!).
Summary: A perfect monitor - sharp and crisp with no dead pixels. Much nicer than the 19" CRT it's replacing. In my case, being driven on the digital DVI socket with no trouble at all. Colour setup and adjustment easy but unnecessary. Photo and video/DVD reproduction good. Neutral matt black frame and stand, easy tilt and swivel screen adjustment, sits reasonably high just on supplied stand.
