Reviews and Problems with Samsung SyncMaster 710MP

The best purchase I've made in a very long time.
11 August 2012
Summary: Thoroughly pleased with this purchase. The picture quality is bright and very clear. The value was excellent. I primarily use for a monitor, but I do watch movies and TV shows a lot through the internet. I have tested out the television functions which work just as well.
Summary: Samsung monitor is the best in trouble free working order. The picture is sharp and clean. The color is crisp and rich more then most LCD'S. The sound is not the best" But for a small monitor monitor or TV the sound is better then some i have heard. The sound from 1-10 is about 8 to me.
Summary: Picture quality is OK but the 710 seems to have trouble syncing the video: the screen can stay blank a long time when switching channels or sources. Samsung honored the warranty and replaced the unit, but the replacement behaved the same.
Summary: Takes computer, video, and Tv inputs with a built in TV turner. 15-pin D-Sub, S-Video, RCA Connector, TV (antenna / cable) Standard 75mm VESA wall mount compatible (with optional mounting hardware) Built-in power supply
Excerpt: I bought this 3 years ago, and although it's been extremely reliable (no issues whatsoever despite almost 24-7 use), it's now way behind in terms of picture quality and usability. It's very much a monitor with a TV tuner clamped on the back. And it shows.
Pros: Relability, Build quality, Fairly attractive, Leading brand
Cons: Sound quality, Picture quality, No . of inputs, Menu system, Lack of freeview, Age
Summary: Our company bought about 500 of these recently. We have only had a problem with a few of them. My only complaint is that they can't do picture in picture. ie If your working on your PC windows desktop, you can't also watch TV using the inbuilt tuner on the screen at the same time.
Excerpt: I was offered a used model by a friend. It certainly looks the business & is very smart, when sat on the desktop. If you have a nice machine and it's good, you like to tell everyone else it's good too. Don't you? Well I love this monitor, if you want all the techy stuff look at the spec sheet!
Excerpt: I bought mine in a sale in PC World for £229. While in the store I compared all the other TFT and LCD monitor against this one and found it to be the best in comparison. Viewable angles were better than most, colour and image quality stood out from the rest of what was available.
Pros: Good responce time, Crisp picture, Multifuntional
