Summary: If Samsung revised this monitor to include a solid base, and put in a 10 bit panel with 1 billion colors while still offering 5-6ms response then I would gladly give them the money. next to a 30" apple cinema HD, the 970D looks better then TN but not close to IPS 10 bit.
Pros: excellent panel uniformity, very nice glossy screen with tempered glass, great PPI and resolution
Cons: price, this monitor it it's current state, and specs and build quality should cost no more then $600-$700 if they fix the stand. I read a couple of reviews (even video with the box saying 1 million colors and other specs for this monitor. the reviewers mention a 10 bit panel with 1.07 million col...
Beautiful colors, but uneven back lighting and back light bleed ruin the overall experience

Summary: I want to start with thanking the awesome customer service of Amazon - I've had very few returns and exchanges over the years, and they've always been quick to respond and hassle-free to deal with, including with this monitor.
Summary: The monitor arrived nicely packaged. The outside packaging was not damaged and the inside packaging was very sturdy. When I opened it and set it up everything was looking good. Then I turned on my computer and half of the monitors screen was red.
Summary: To keep it brief, the five star reviews here are spot on in regards to the color. Pop in any Pixar movie on Bluray: Absolutely gorgeous. However, the monitor I bought came with a stuck green pixel near the center and many specs of dust behind the glass near the top. Returned it for a replacement.
Pros: Great Picture. No dead pixels. Calibrated adequately.
Cons: Poor base design. HDMI, USB, etc connections are difficult to access. USB hub does not work. I believe it is a software issue with their drivers and not a hardware issue, but customer service was no help at all. they were not even able to comprehend the problem or have an educated troubleshooting...
Cons: Brightness is disappointing. I noticed it was only 285 compared to Apple's 375 and my Dell Ultrasharp's at 300 or better. I figured 15 different wouldn't be that much but I'm struggling with this. I'll give it a few days but I am considering returning this and going with a Dell 27 or the Samsung ...
Summary: Great physical design and picture quality. Sadly, just out of warranty, the capacitive buttons stopped working so I couldn't switch input sources and a few months later it's totally dead as it won't turn on. I've read other reviews with the same problem.
**WARNING THIS MONITOR HAS NO WINDOWS 10 DRIVER AND DUAL SLI RARELY WORKS**

Summary: I bought this monitor when I was running windows 7 to run on a gaming PC setup using dual SLI. All was well until I upgraded to Windows 10. Many games started to have a lot of problems running sli, and changing cables and adjusting settings didn't do anything.
