Summary: THE PICTURE SEEMS TO BE AWESOME AND THE REFURB ISSUES SEEM TO BE COSMETIC. FIRST OF ALL, I DIDNT GET THE SOFTWARE CD IN THE BOX AND THE 3-D BATTERY WAS DOA, THAT ASIDE, THE LEFT SIDE OF THE MONITOR FALLS 1/5 OF AN INCH LOWER THEN THE RIGHT SIDE OF MONITOR....
Summary: I purchased this monitor through Tiger Direct for $599 last year and after finding a discolored pixel and backlight bleeding problems in the bottom right corner I sent it back for a replacement.
Summary: I've owned now both the Asus VG278H and the Samsung S27A950D. There is no doubt that this monitor is excellent for 2d. The colors are fantastic and the fluidity of motion when playing games in 120hz is incredible. The design is elegant and right out of the box, this thing had no dead pixels.
Summary: THIS WAS NOT PURCHASED THROUGH AMAZON. Had some problems with amazon so I ended up ordering it from TD. 120HZ This is REAL 120hz, not the 120/240hz interpolation that big box HDTV brands advertise.
Great monitor---product shown on this page is not the "D"

Summary: First, Amazon may have their products mixed up. There is a regular 950 and a 950D. If you check, you will see what Amazon has labeled as the 950 here: [...] There is also nearly $100 price difference between these.
Summary: I like this monitor i wanted a good 2d monitor for smooth video and gaming, frustratingly to get 120hz you must buy a 3d display. Right There is colour bleed on blacks on both sides especially the bottom right where the hinge attaches it is within acceptable limits ( to me ) though.
