Summary: So, I originally purchased a Samsung S27A750D 27-Inch Class 3D LED Monitor - Black . My understanding is that they use the same panel, though I could be wrong. But in any case I've had it replaced under warranty twice, both times with the current monitor I'm reviewing (due to lack of stock of the other at the time). I've chosen to review this one because I've spent the most time with it.
EXCELLENT CUSTOMER SERVICE REQUIRED if you buy this monitor!

Summary: I cannot review the performance of this product yet. I can only review the problems I've had with Samsung and this monitor. I bought my monitor through another reputable vendor and I reviewed it there too. This monitor was purchased to replace a 19 inch LCD Samsung monitor that stopped working. The new 27 inch LED monitor arrived via UPS at my house very quickly. I set it up and found that the right half of the screen wouldn't work.
Summary: I bought this monitor at the beginning of February. When I first unpacked it, I was impressed by the overall aesthetic design of it. The brushed aluminum base and back look fantastic. I use it in a dark room so the glossy screen coating wasn't an issue for me. When I got it all set up and going the brightness and size of the display hurt my eyes. This isn't really a bad thing, just took some time to adjust to.
Summary: I was very excited about this monitor. I was blown away by just how cool looking it was once I unboxed it and sat it on my desk. I hooked up the cables and set to 120hz and was getting ready to play some games then I noticed the dead pixel towards the upper right corner of the screen. I was blown away. I have always held Samsung in very high regard but to ship a $700 monitor with a dead pixel is just wrong.
Summary: First off I want to say "THANKS!" to Amazon for the great support they provide their customers. I'm always amazed when I have an issue with a purchase because Amazon always steps up to the plate and helps, no matter what the issue is. On to the review... I've actually received 3 of these monitors and they all had the same problem... For a lack of a better way to describe it.. they have a lite leak in the bottom right hand corner.
Summary: The monitor itself IS the best 27" gaming lcd you can buy.....if you get a good one.... There's some serious quality control issues coming from Samsung Mexican factory where these are made.....newegg is just overloaded with quality control complaints as well as most online retailers, some have even pulled them.
