Summary: I have purchased the product back in 2012 (Less than 3 years). This monitor has broken down for no reason. I have tried with HDMI and VGA connections and both have no luck at all. I used the same cables and the same pc to connect to a different monitor and it worked fine.
Good Monitor, Refurbished Model Has Slight Imperfections Though
4 July 2012
Summary: I received this monitor a few days ago. I have no found any dead pixels but I have found a couple of scratches on the top left corner. Also, the back panel that is supposed to have 3 points that click to (and hold the wires under) the back of monitor has a broken clip.
Summary: This monitor definitely looks good, and the price was fair for the performance and the power consumption features. It would have got a 5 star rating if it weren't for the stand. It's not the assembly, which others have commented on. I had no problem with the assembly.
Summary: After reading the other reviews, I purchased this, but not as happy as I thought I would be. The resolution is not as superior as a smaller, older one that I have. It will be OK for basic work, but not for hi-def viewing.
Summary: I think it's a cop-out from Samsung on the VESA mount stance... Implying customers want thin over mountable. I'm sure 99.999% of customers would rather have a slightly thicker monitor in the name of having VESA mounting support.
Pros: Big, bright screen. No complaints there. Light weight. Fast LED display. Seriously affordable for this size range (depending on where/when you buy it). Makes a great workplace monitor for those with employers too tightwadded to give employees the appropriate work tools for CAD/Visio, etc. Love th...
Cons: Same as other are reporting, really: VERY flimsy and tacky acrylic base, and a weeble-wobble experience based on the monitor size. Software that ships with it does indeed say it's not compatible with this product. (Don't know what MagicTune is/does, sounds like I don't want it anyway!)
Summary: Great monitor if the stand was just a bit better.
Pros: I went from an old 19in lcd monitor to this beast. I was amazed with the picture quality and how it looks in games.
Cons: The base almost ruins the monitor. Some people say they worry its gonna fall off... Mine did fall and put a nice scratch down the screen. I got mine at Best Buy cheaper than Newegg. Now I get to take it back.
Summary: In today's day - a DVI port - or a display port are EXPECTED - but this monitor has neither. It is pretty much a TV without a tuner in it. It has VGA and HDMI. Also, there is no way to mount this monitor on a wall mount.
Summary: I don't want to complain too much because as I said Samsung has taken the Monitor and they (from my understanding) will fix it for free. This is great and excellent to see from an Electronic company such as Samsung. My only concern is why this happened in the first place.
Pros: This Monitor is perfect for a Graphic Designer. The Size, Resolution & Functionality are excellent and for the price that I purchased it at... it was perfect! You may want to see my Cons comments though... : O(
Cons: After a few weeks of using the screen for 8-10 hours a day it started to blink out. What I mean by that is the Monitor just started flashing similar to a slow flashing strobe light. Fortunately for me the Monitor was still under warranty (make sure you register it right away, if you purchase this...
The monitor does snap on to the stand but bad design
David R., Newegg
4 August 2011
Pros: Good quality picture. No real complaints there.
Cons: I have two major gripes. 1) Although some reviewers noted that the monitor doesn't lock into place on the stand, it definitely does but the design is rather boneheaded. The problem is that you have to use far too much pressure on the front side of the monitor to get it to snap in place. I truly f...
