Summary: I was excited to un-box this Samsung SyncMaster LED S27A550H (SA550), model code LS27A550HS/ZA. I did not have any trouble with the base. It clicked in and there was screw to tighten the neck to the base under the base. Too easy. Next, I plug in the HDMI cable.
Summary: I have always been a huge fan of Samsung monitors. They have always had great quality and long life. This model did love me for the entire year that I owned it, but then it decided to turn. It began to blink. The blinking would not stop no matter what I did.
This is the single worst computer monitor I have ever had the displeasure of owning.

Summary: Nope, think I got it all out.
Pros: The only thing I can say about this thing is that it's garbage. I bought 3 all at one time in order to complete a surround setup, and I have had nothing but trouble ever since. I had one monitor do the good ol' blinki-failure on me in the first 28 days, so thinking everything was fine I carted it...
Cons: nothing short of abysmal. Now one of the monitors I have is lost in the mail, and I have no working monitors after spending 3 months of my time and over 1200 dollars, so thank you Samsung. Never have I been slighted so hard by a company whose brand I trusted and recommended more than probably any...
Summary: bought this on sale for a great price from a retail store (basically what it costs now but it was $100 more on newegg at the time) and took it home to set it up. long story short it wasn't as simple as just plugging it in like the previous monitor it replaced.
Pros: great picture: deep blacks, vibrant colors.
Cons: no physical buttons means navigating the menu or even turning it on was a nuisance. included software is a joke (some of it claimed it wouldn't work with my product), stand was a nice idea gone horribly wrong (it tries to let you run the cables through it but it barely had enough room for just 1 ...
Summary: Never had a monitor that i had to install software in order to adjust colours and picture quality. After messing with it for 1 hour i put it back in the box. I would not pay for it more than $100. Does not even have any good extras.
Cons: Very, very cheaply made. After i put it together it was not level. After few adjustments it was still off a little bit and it could not be fixed because it does not pivot or swivel. The stand is simply poorly constructed and bad. After i got over the crooked stand, it was time to turn it on. I go...
Summary: Its a shame, really. Great looking monitor but this black bar is enough for me to return this monitor.
Pros: Picture is great, after some adjustments.
Cons: There is a very small horizontal bar on the top of the monitor, sounded easy enough to resolve. So, I open menu -> size and position, and i notice that h and v position options are both grayed out...great Auto Adjust was also grayed out. Installed the samsung software that came with the monitor.....
Summary: Samsung has an issue with Bad caps and when mine went bad and I contacted them about it their support didn't seem to understand english. Doubt I'll buy samsung again. Really capacitors are not something any of us should see go bad.
Pros: Looks great while the caps last
Cons: Bad caps, bad tech support, make that horrible
Summary: Hab den Monitor im August 2012 gekauft. D.h.
