Summary: I bought 2 of these monitors so I can have a dual monitor setup for my home office.. Had them for 1.5 years now.. While they were great monitors, both of them broke! You get all the bells and whistles but no picture.. First one died after 15 months but there was only a year warranty..
Summary: This is a decent monitor for the money but unfortunately, the warranty is only for 12 months. Mine died after 15 months. I've had other flat panel monitors that have lasted for at least 5+ years. I had to resort to my 5 year old 20" Sharp monitor which still works as good as ever.
Summary: This monitor side by side with my MBP mid 2010 has darker blacks but is much grainier. The picture makes Mac OS X look like a Win95 resolution. It looked ok on Netflix's streaming. The second day I turned it on it flickered for a minute before the image stabilized.
Summary: I have always purchased Samsung monitors for as long as I can remember and have some that have continued working for many many years. They have always been excellent except for this model. It failed shortly after the one year warranty was up.
Getting flickering with Macbook Pro to VGA cable...
Michael "Trig", Amazon

Summary: Day one of this monitor, bad flickering on the upper right hand side of the screen. Using Mini-displayport to VGA cable. I ordered a mini-displayport to HDMI, but if that fails, it goes back next week. Samsung tech support was decent. Be aware this unit only has VGA and HDMI ports, no DVI.
