Summary: Overall excellent. I'm not a video professional so can't attest to the technical quality, but it looks better than most I've seen, and although there's some backlight bleed I don't consciously notice as I do with other displays.
Summary: Love the screen, and that's mostly what you buy this for of course...but I've bought similar ones from Samsung in the past and the newer ones have far less quality stands. They just seem cheap.
Summary: It is strange that it has an hdmi and a vga combo for the available ports... Considering I was aware of this before I bought it I wont consider it a con. It is odd though. The stand is a bit lacking too, it seems stable and able to give some tilt. It looks nice though so again not really con worthy.
Pros: Great Deal with newegg giving a 50$ Promotional gift card with purchase. Color and Contrast are great looks very sharp and clean. Samsungs new smaller bezel is more dual monitor friendly. The buttons for the menu are easier to activate then a previous samsung I have.
Cons: This display is not compatible with VESA mounts. That means standard "LCD wall mount" kits won't work with it. I've also yet to find one that works with this monitor at all. The base that comes with it is merely adequate.
Summary: I compared this with an ASUS VS247h-p (both calibrated to the best of their capability) and the picture on the Samsung blew it out of the water in every way (viewing angles, color accuracy, backlight bleeding, contrast, etc) The Asus I have to admit had much better quality build materials and all...
Pros: -Excellent colors (whites are especially excellent=great for text) -The best viewing angles I've seen for a TN monitor -Excellent response time -good calibrating features
Cons: -Only 1 useful input (who would buy this monitor and use VGA, I mean come on) -None mountable -Flimsy casing and Base -slight backlight bleeding -average contrast
Summary: Very easily paired with my 6,1 Macbook. Able to deliver 1080P without much hassle.
Pros: Monitor is awesome as reviewed enough by other reviewers. Incredibly thin. Dynamic contrast selection looks good even though little more brighter that desired.
Cons: I tried to hook in the HDMI cable from back and the monitor took a bow to the audience in the front. It is that fragile. It has to be kept a little tilted backwards to avoid bending forward even at the slightest touch. Will see if it is the problem only i face... 4 stars else it is perfect 5.
