Summary: For me, the display is excellent. I am building a new computer, and seen one of these at a local used electronics reseller company and decided a good monitor would be nice to have for the new computer when I finally get it built.
Summary: Had this unit for a few days now and it was a replacement for a 23 LCD. Not a huge upgrade in size, but a big leap forward in technology and image quality, Plus the price was right. Other than a few minor annoyances, this monitor is excellent for everyday use.
Pros: Samsung S24A300B > It's an LED, very light and flat, Sharp, Stable base, Good controls, P&P, Non reflective screen, Really large, decent colour fidelity.
Cons: No DVI Cable included in the package. AC adapter is not built into the unit, but it is separately plugged into the back, just like a laptop AC adapter would. Brightness should be higher.
Summary: Newegg issued RMA refund instead of RMA replacement as this was out of stock. No e-mail was sent to me about the item being out of stock, and they just went to refund without trying to contact me to see if I wanted something else. Kinda disappointed.
Pros: Looks amazing. High contrast. Very nice colors. Stylish.
Summary: I have been using this monitor for about 3 weeks now and it is great. I have seen several people state in their review that it did not tilt which is incorrect, it does. I started using the MagicTune but went back to the manual setting mode to get the image the way I like it.
Summary: Pros: Good quality picture Easy on/off button Looks nice Cons: Does not come with DVI cable No HDMI port No USB ports No Display Port Comes with VGA cable Why do I put the VGA cable as a con? Because VGA is so old and outdated, why is it even being used anymore? How about including a DVI cable?
Summary: Is a nice extension to my other 24 inch Samsung monitor!
Pros: This monitor was purchased to replace an older Samsung that was also 4 inches less. Without taking the extra size into account, this monitor is very clear. It installed quickly and had been giving me top of the line performance while it is on (almost 20 hours a day). Great price for a good monitor.
Cons: I did have one issue where I came home from work and it told me that it was not plugged in and so it couldn't bring up my desktop. I had to unplug and re-plug it into the back of computer several times before it recognized it. Only happened once so far...
Summary: I bought this monitor with the intention to use if for surfing and remote system administration which this monitor meets and exceeds those needs. out of the box I did not like the contrast and brightness settings. After trying the Magic Angle feature all is good.
Pros: Magic angle feature works very well. made for quick adjustments. Sharp picture, colors are great. The price is right for a basic home monitor.
Cons: Stand is limited - angles up or down. for my taste the monitor stand needs to be 2-4 inches taller
Summary: This replaced my 2 year old syncmaster 2253 bw. The screen died and a quick search found a few accusations that Samsung uses substandard Samwha capacitors. I opened it up to find that 5 of the 11 capacitors were bad Samwha capacitors. The other 6 were different brands and fine.
Pros: Crisp display and the LED back-lighting is fantastic.
Cons: Unbelievable annoying touch buttons. Brush one by accident and have your monitor shut off or the screen menu pop up. The power LED for whatever reason shines right in my eyes. I moved the monitor around trying to find an angle that it wouldn't, gave up and put a piece of electrical tape over it.
Summary: The contrast ratio is actually 5,000,000:1 according to Samsung. The stand is of decent quality, doesn't feel like it's going to fall over and stays in place when tilted. The software disk was useless, but drivers were easily acquired from Samsung's website.
Pros: Size, Price, Brightness, contrast. Picture is bright the whites are beautiful and the blacks are dark. No hot spots. Stand tilts
Cons: Dynamic Contrast mode fails big time, the changes in the contrast are far too noticeable and it is just bad. Touch screen buttons are just annoying.
