Summary: I have owned numerous computer monitors since my first purchase in 1991. Some top-name brands to some not-so-top-named brands. My previous monitor (which is still fully functional and still under warranty and I still own it, was the Samsung XL2370HD...a fabulous PC Monitor/HDTV combo. But I love 3D and its current technology. So much so that I own a 3D Laptop, a 3D Smartphone and a 47 inch 3D Television. So the way I figured it, my Desktop monitor was the next step.
Summary: Pros: Great compromise for the more expensive 27" ones out there Great for gaming, very responsive Colorful Cons: Manufacturing flaw - transparent dark spots (about the size of a finger print) in both corners - about the clock and start button. Bought 2, same thing on both Second monitor had white spot in lower left hand side of screen. Will be returning this one too. 3 times a charm, eh?
Summary: my rating breakdown. 1 star = hated it, didn't work, company wouldn't help, most likely caused me some kind of physical harm (I rarely if ever give these) 2 star = did not work as I'd hoped, I want a refund, I'll never use it, not worth it. 3 star = a hiccup here and there, didn't meet all my expectations, but works and is a decent product 4 star = met all my expectations, did exactly what I wanted it to, works like a charm. 5 star = blew me away!
Summary: Product delivers, slick display and great 3D. My only complaint is my own fault, which is why i did not deduct a star. It does NOT work at 120HZ with an nvidia card that does not have a displayport output. From my research, there are currently no connector or adapter combos to transmit 120Hz data from a GTX580 (that has 2x DVI-D, 1x mini HDMI connector) to this monitor (that has an HDMI and DP connector). This is very unfortunate, b/c i wanted 120Hz.
Summary: This model aswell as the 950d probably are the best gaming monitors on the market for 1080p gaming. It will meet every last expectation, and based on my experience a flawless monitor that will meet your needs for a very long time.
Summary: I have this along with an AMD HD6950 for a complete HD3D setup. 3D gaming has been a joy with 1 caveat, make sure you turn response to NORMAL! If you have it on a faster setting you will get an insane amount of ghosting. It took me a few days to figure this out, which was very frustrating. Most games do require third party drivers. I have been using tri-def, which comes with the monitor, or you can buy the full suite for $20 through AMD (which gets you a media player).
Summary: This display is beyond the expectations i had when I plugged this thing in. Samsung really stepped up their game on the color production on this and looks so natural no matter if I am watching blu ray or playing my games. I bought this display to pair with my PS3 knowing that majority of people who buy this are usually PC gamers. I tried one of 3D games on this (motorstorm apocalypse, Uncharted 3) and it was quite an experience to see a whole new depth for my games.
Summary: If you guys already have got this display just have a good look at both bottom corners on the screen maybe you notice dark spots around where "start"and clock are showing if Windows XP.I sent the display back to the local store but the replacement had same dark spots so this maybe a unique problem for this model. The picture is cristal clear and 3D function is awsome I was so happy if this was one of cheap Chinese fakes but actually its manufacturor is one of the world's...
Summary: I thought this would be a great monitor for the price to use with my new Dell XPS laptop with the Nvidia GT-555M 3D video card, but unfortunately, Nvidia 3D Vision does not support this monitor. The monitor is recognized by the Nvidia Control Panel, but when 3D is enabled, a startup error is produced. When I try to use the provided 3D (DDD) software, the Nvidia graphic is not recognized and no 3D is produced. Monitor is being returned.
