Reliable monitor - great purchase

  • Summary: I had an existing Samsung S23A300B monitor so I wanted the exact same one for a dual monitor setup for a desktop. I'm a developer, so screen real estate is necessary. I like the wide screen layout this monitor offers - with a great resolution and low flicker rate. Its an easy set-up. For my machine, I noticed I got the best resolution using the DVI connection. It was in great shape for a refurbished model. Packaged nicely by the seller.

  • Summary: I bought two of these screens for a good price. One thing i want to make note is that the power conection from the ac power adapter did not come with one of the screens. That was eratating but quickly fixed by purchasing a new ac adapter. Other than that its been a good experince.

  • Summary: Not sure about some of the negative reviews on here but I have been more than happy with mine. And it does in fact tilt :) I was worried about that when I first ordered it but was happy to learn after putting it together that it did tilt. Can view the screen clearly from the side without having to hunch over someones shoulder who's sitting in the chair. Good color and great picture. I do wish it had an HDMI cable but thats about it.

Good monitor started to die at month 14 (register your monitor for +3 months to warranty!)

  • Summary: Good solid monitor for 14 months and then a day or two ago the VGA connection wouldn't light up the monitor. Windows 8/Geforce 240 VGA could detect and identify the monitor as a SyncMaster SA300/SA350 but the monitor stayed black. When I connected up the DVI instead I got a picture, but it would go black within a few minutes. I have to power off/on the monitor to get my picture back. It was a pretty good monitor for over a year, and yes it only has a one year warranty.

  • Summary: What can I say - no complaints! - The picture is just as clear as any other TV in our home, including our main TV. - The size makes it very convenient to take with us when we are going to be out of the house (such as the garage or camping) and want it for game systems or something. - The sound is more than enough volume and clarity wise.

  • Summary: I purchased my Samsung SA300 at Costco (January 2012). Looked great, worked fine for about six months, and then it died. From the reviews here (and from the rants on the web) it's clear many people have shared this experience. I did a little trouble-shooting. When turned on without a source input, the monitor could display its menus, but as soon as a VGA or DVI source was plugged in, it would flicker and go dark gray.

Monitor dead in two months and horrible service

  • Summary: My Samsung SyncMaster monitor went black after only a few months. I searched on the web but could not solve it by myself. Samsung tech support said it must be my Dell computer that had problem. I told him it works fine with another monitor. He kept me on hold for several minutes and gave me two phone numbers, that he said would help me further. Both are Dell phone numbers.
