Summary: For social media, word processing, watching movies etc., I rate this at 5 stars for a very nice balance of price and performance. BEWARE: I purchased two of these almost 3 years ago and strained to get CAD work done on them. 1080p is simply not sufficient on large monitors, so I recently upgraded to two Dell U3011 units. The difference is night and day.
Summary: I looove this monitor! I thought the price was great, the size is huge, colors are really bright, and images are sharp. Unfortunately it arrived with a dead pixel, which I was really unhappy about... I've had it for over a year now and none of the other pixels have died, so I'm pretty sure this was just a fluke and not a widespread defect or anything. Overall, I would definitely recommend it.
Summary: This is an awesome monitor. I was looking for a good 24" HD monitor, and looked at several other brands, before settling on the Samsung. I've had this monitor for over 6 months now with no issues at all. The reason I chose this monitor over the other brands was price, connections, and prior experience (I have a Samsung LCD monitor from 2003 that still works to this day). The connections are great, the colors are really good, and I love the Touch Of Color design.
Summary: Prior to buying this monitor I had been using a 19" screen. I spend enough time in front of a screen at work (who doesn't?) that I felt I should make an investment for a larger screen. I searched for quite some time as I do a large amount of video/photo editing and wanted a monitor with numerous display options and an overall clear picture with dark blacks and bright colors. I've learned over a number of screens that I am partial to Samsung screens.
