Summary: I bought this monitor to serve quite a few purposes - a monitor for my PC, as well as my Macbook Pro, and as a TV for my Xbox 360, PS2 and PS3. I was astonished at this monitor's plethora of connections, which mean I can have my PS3, X360, PC and PS2 all connected at once. Here we come to my first minor gripe - the monitor only has the one HDMI connection, so I can't have my Mac and my PS3 connected at the same time and without an HDMI switcher box, I have to keep...
Samsung Syncmaster P2270HD: Clear picture, doesn't take up too much space
17 August 2011
Summary: This TV is great if you want a HD television, though only have a limited amount of space to keep it in, perhaps in the bedroom. It boasts great picture, even when not using for HD, the picture is really very clear. It is great for people who do not know much about televisions (like me) as I found it easy enough to set up, nothing really to have to have much electronical knowledge to do.
Summary: I bought this principally as a monitor for my 13"unibody Macbook. Chose it in preference to an LG which claimed also to be dual purpose since the Samsung has a DVI port as well as HDMI. First connected the Mac miniDisplayPort (MDP) to HDMI, but wasted a lot of time with different resolutions; screen either had black areas on either side (which defeated the object of getting a wider screen, to display 2 documents side by side without overlap) or one of the toolbars was...
Summary: I searched for ages on the internet for a television that suited my needs, and this is the one I came up with. One of the features that I really love is the fact that you can turn it off on the monitor, and not have to leave it on standby like most other tvs these days. I also love the way you use a sensor pad on the front for the controls. Although the picture is brilliant, I can't really judge it properly as I have cable tv, which means the picture is good anyway.
Summary: I've had a small resolution for a long time and I wanted some bigger without having to spend a lot of money. After a week of research I decided to buy this monitor and I'm glad I did. It is very good for me. I bought it for games, but now as I don't play it is still very useful for me. Despite the fact it is was of the cheapest monitores, my eyes don't hurt. The setup was easy and I started using it within two hours from buying.
Summary: I set out looking for a small, neat TV to use with my XBOX and maybe watch a few shows on. However, this TV from Samsung is far more than that, and my uses for it grow by the day. I was laready convinced that I needed (mostly wanted, lets be honest) a full 1080p TV - after all, if I was going to spend a load of money, a little more wouldn't hurt! But, with this wish in mind, I struggled to find much under 30" - far too big and expensive for student accomodation!
Summary: I bought this television for my father as he has recently moved into a Nursing Home. He seems very satisfied with it and the picture and colours look very good. The size is ideal for a small room and he is clearly operating the remote control with ease. Others have remarked on the quality of the set. I am more than happy with the purchase.
Summary: Having read other purchasers reviews for this product, I was a bit undecided whether to go for it, or not. However, I took the plunge and am very pleased that I did. Setting up was very straightforward and it was up and running within 15 minutes of coming out of the box. Picture quality is excellent and sound quality appears better to me than some reweviers have commented.
Summary: I bought this TV Monitor after a lot of research to serve as my PC Monitor and occasional Bedroom TV. The connectability is outstanding with VGA; HDMI; DVI; Scart; Optical; Audio and Component out. I have a an ATI Sapphire Video Card and like some other reviewer cannot get good HD results with an HDMI cable, however the results with the VGA connection are more than acceptable (It may be I have missed something in the installation?
